Collected by Bukhari, Muslim, Nasai, Ahmad, Ibn Hibban, Bazzar, Nasai's KubraOnce the Prophet ﷺ was offering the prayer in the shade of the Kaʿba. Abu Jahl and some Quraishi men sent somebody to bring the Abdominal contents of a shecamel which had been slaughtered somewhere in Mecca, and when he brought them, they put them over the Prophet ﷺ Then Fatima (i.e. the Prophet's daughter) came and threw them away from him, and he said, "O Allah! Destroy (the pagans of) Quraish; O Allah! Destroy Quraish; O Allah Destroy Quraish," naming especially Abu Jahl bin Hisham, ʿUtba bin Rabiʿa, Shaiba bin Rabiʿa, Al Walid bin ʿUtba, Ubai bin Khalaf and ʿUqba bin Abi Mitt. (The narrator, ʿAbdullah added, "I saw them all killed and thrown in the Badr well).

While the Prophet ﷺ was in the state of prostration, surrounded by a group of people from Quraish pagans. ʿUqba bin Abi Mu'ait came and brought the intestines of a camel and threw them on the back of the Prophet ﷺ . The Prophet ﷺ did not raise his head from prostration till Fatima (i.e. his daughter) came and removed those intestines from his back, and invoked evil on whoever had done (the evil deed). The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah! Destroy the chiefs of Quraish, O Allah! Destroy Abu Jahl bin Hisham, ʿUtba bin Rabiʿa, Shaiba bin Rabiʿa, ʿUqba bin Abi Mu'ait, Umaiya bin Khalaf (or Ubai bin Kalaf)." Later on I saw all of them killed during the battle of Badr and their bodies were thrown into a well except the body of Umaiya or Ubai, because he was a fat person, and when he was pulled, the parts of his body got separated before he was thrown into the well.

[AI] I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ invoke Allah's curse upon the Quraish except on one occasion. He was praying and a number of Quraish were sitting close by, while a sheep was being slaughtered nearby. They said: "Who will take up this dung and throw it on his back?" Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ait stood up, took it and threw it on his back, and he kept praying, prostrating himself, until Fatimah, the Messenger of Allah's daughter ﷺ , came and took it off his back. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: "O Allah, curse the tribe of Quraish. O Allah, curse Utbah bin Rabi'ah. O Allah, curse Shaybah bin Rabi'ah. O Allah, curse Abu Jahl bin Hisham. O Allah, curse Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ait. O Allah, curse Ubay bin Khalaf or Umayyah bin Khalaf." Abdullah said: "I saw them all killed on the day of Badr, except Ubay and Umayyah, for they were two large and heavy men and became detached (from the battlefield)."

[AI] While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in a state of prostration and the leaders of Quraysh were sitting, a decapitated head of a camel was thrown. They said, "Who among you would take care of this?" He (the Messenger of Allah) replied, "Leave that and let it be." Uqbah ibn Abi Mu'ayt took it and threw it on his back, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained in prostration without raising his head until Fatimah came and took it off his back and cursed those who had done such an act. On that day, I saw him (the Messenger of Allah) supplicating against them saying, "O Allah, punish Abu Jahl ibn Hisham, Utbah ibn Rabiah, Umayyah ibn Khalaf, and Uqbah ibn Abi Mu'ayt." I saw them killed on the Day of Badr and their bodies thrown except for Umayyah who was a huge man, and when he was dragged, he was torn apart.
