[Machine] We asked Khabbab, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite in the first and third units of prayer?" He replied, "Yes." We asked, "How did you know that?" He said, "By the movement of his beard."
سَأَلْنَا خَبَّابًا أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَى وَالْعَصْرِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قُلْنَا بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ بِاضْطِرَابِ لِحْيَتِهِ
We asked Khabbab whether Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite (the Qur'an) in the Zuhr and the ʿAsr prayers. He replied in the affirmative. We said, "How did you come to know about it?" He said, "By the movement of his beard."

قُلْنَا لِخَبَّابِ بْنِ الْأَرَتِّ هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قُلْنَا بِمَ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ بِاضْطِرَابِ لِحْيَتِهِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبْدَانَ
[Machine] I asked Khabbab if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the first and third units (of prayer). He said, "Yes." I asked, "How did you know that?" He said, "Because of the movement of his beard, it was evident in the two authentic narrations from Al-A'mash, and it indicates that he used to move his tongue while reciting."
