We asked Khabbab whether Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite (the Qur'an) in the Zuhr and the ʿAsr prayers. He replied in the affirmative. We said, "How did you come to know about it?" He said, "By the movement of his beard."

He said, "Because of the movement of his beard, it was evident in the two authentic narrations from Al-A'mash, and it indicates that he used to move his tongue while reciting."

[Machine] We said to Khabbab bin Al-Arat, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite in the Dhuhr and Asr prayers?" He said, "Yes." We asked, "How do you know that?" He said, "Because of the movement of his beard and the pronunciation of the hadith of Ibn Abadan."
