[Machine] "O Abu Al-Walid, indeed we left early in the morning to search for the remnants of the fallen prey, but we could hardly find anything to be gathered except that I found a fat thigh. Utbah said, "Why did you not bring it to us?" So, he invoked, "O Allah, forgive me for surpassing you while you do not surpass me." He said, "Yes." He said, "Why is that?" He said, "You doubt, while I do not doubt." Then, Utbah brought out his hand and said, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade five things: the hunted animal with severed horns, the hunted bird with severed wings, the drowned fish, the dead mouse, and the broken egg." He said, "And the hunted animal with severed horns is the one whose horn is cut, the hunted bird with severed wings is the one whose wings are cut, the drowned fish is the one whose eyes are white, the dead mouse has visible traces of death, and the broken egg is the empty one or the one inhabited by illness that does not follow the flock."

[Machine] I came to the doorstep of Utbah ibn Abdus-Salam, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I said, "O Abu Al-Walid, I have gone out to seek sacrificial animals, but I did not find anything except Tharmasah (a type of sheep with a cut tail) and I dislike it. What do you say?" He said, "Why don't you come to me and sacrifice it?" I said, "Subhan Allah, would it be permissible for you and not for me?" He said, "Yes, because you are doubtful, and I am not doubtful. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited (sacrificing) the Mutsaffirah (a type of sheep with a cut tail) and the Musta'shalah (a type of sheep with a broken horn), the one whose horn is completely broken off from its root, and the one-eyed animal whose eye has protruded, and the diseased animal that does not follow the flock, limping or weak, and the Kasra (a type of camel with a broken leg)."
