Yahya related to me from Zayd ibn Aslam from a man of the Banu Damra that his father said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the Aqiqa. He said, 'I do not like disobedience (uquq),' as if he disliked the name. He said, 'If anyone has a child born to him, and wants to sacrifice for his child, then let him do it.' "

أَنَّهُ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ لاَ أُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ وَكَأَنَّهُ إِنَّمَا كَرِهَ الاِسْمَ وَقَالَ مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْسُكَ عَنْ وَلَدِهِ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[Machine] I asked the Prophet ﷺ about the 'Aqiqah (sacrifice for a newborn), and he said, "I do not like disobedience, but whoever has a child born to him, and wishes to offer a sacrifice for him or from him, then they should do so."

سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ لَا أُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ وَلَكِنْ مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْسُكَ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ عَنْهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[Machine] He said, "I witnessed the Prophet ﷺ at Arafat, and he was asked about 'Aqeeqah (sacrifice for the newborn). He replied, 'I do not like disobedience (to parents), but whoever has a child born to him and wants to sacrifice for him, let him do so."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِعَرَفَةَ فَسُئِلَعَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ؟ فَقَالَ لَا أُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ وَلَكِنْ مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ فَأَحَبَّ أَنَّ يَنْسُكَ عَنْهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about Aqeeqah, so he said, "I do not like to be disobedient, as if he disliked the name. And he said, 'Whoever has a child and wants to sacrifice for his child, let him do so.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ لَاأُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ الِاسْمَ وَقَالَ مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْسُكَ عَنْ وَلَدِهِ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about Aqeeqah, so he said, "I do not like disobedience. Whoever from amongst you has a child born to him, let him offer a sacrifice on his behalf. For a boy, two sheep are to be sacrificed, and for a girl, one sheep is to be sacrificed."

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ «لَا أُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ مِنْكُمْ مَوْلُودٌ فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُنْسِكَ عَنْهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ»

[Machine] She asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about aqiqah, and he said, "For a boy, two sheep as a reward, and for a girl, one sheep."

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ «عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ»

[Machine] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about aqiqah (sacrifice for a newborn). He said, "For a boy, two sheep as a reward, and for a girl, one sheep."

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ «عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ»

"مَنْ أَحَبَّ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ ينْسِك عن وَلَدِهِ فَلْيفْعل، عن الغُلامِ شاتَانِ مُكَافأَتان، وعن الجارية شاةٌ".

"لَا أُحِبُّ العُقُوق، مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ مِنْكُمْ مَوْلُودٌ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْسُكَ عَنْهُ فَليَفْعَل عَنِ الغُلامِ شَاتَان، وَعَنِ الجَارِيَة شَاةٌ".

"لا يحِبُّ الله العُقُوقَ، وَمَنْ ولُدَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ فَأَحَبَّ أنْ يَنْسِكَ عَنْهُ فَليَنْسِكْ. عَنِ الغُلامِ شَاتَانِ متَكافِئَتانِ، وَعَنِ الجَارِيِة شَاةٌ".
