[Machine] "Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdullah Rahman," she said, "What is your concern?" He replied, "I wanted to go out to the countryside." He said to her, "Sit down, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'No one endures the hardships and difficulties of a place except that I will be a witness or intercessor for him on the Day of Resurrection.'"  

أحمد:٦١٧٤حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَنَسٍ عَنْ قَطَنِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ يُحَنَّسَ أَنَّ مَوْلَاةً لِابْنِ عُمَرَ أَتَتْهُ فَقَالَتْ

عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ وَمَا شَأْنُكِ؟ قَالَتْ أَرَدْتُ الْخُرُوجَ إِلَى الرِّيفِفَقَالَ لَهَا اقْعُدِي فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَصْبِرُ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهَا وَشِدَّتِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَهِيدًا أَوْ شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Abu Abd al-Rahmin, I have decided to leave (Medina) for the time is hard for us, whereupon Abdullah said to her: Stay here, foolish lady, for I have heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: For one who shows endurance on the hardships and rigour of it (of Medina) I would be an intercessor or a witness on his behalf on the Day of Resurrection.

إِنِّي أَرَدْتُ الْخُرُوجَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ اشْتَدَّ عَلَيْنَا الزَّمَانُ فَقَالَ لَهَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ اقْعُدِي لَكَاعِ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ يَصْبِرُ عَلَى لأْوَائِهَا وَشِدَّتِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ كُنْتُ لَهُ شَهِيدًا أَوْ شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Qatan ibn Wahb ibn Umayr ibn al-Ajda that Yuhannas, the mawla of az-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam informed him that he was sitting with Abdullah ibn Umar during the troubles (at the time of al-Hajaj ibn Yusuf) . A female mawla of his came and greeted him. She said, "I want to leave, Abu Abd ar-Rahman. The time is harsh for us." Abdullah ibn Umar said to her, "Sit down, O you with little knowledge, for I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No one will be patient in hunger and hardship in it (Madina) except that I will be a witness or intercede for him on the Day of Rising.' "  

مالك:٤٥-٣حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ قَطَنِ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ الأَجْدَعِ أَنْ يُحَنَّسَ مَوْلَى الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ

For one among my Ummah who shows endurance against the hardships and rigours of Medina, I would be an intercessor or a witness on his behalf on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 1378a)

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whoever remains patient in the face of its hardships and its adversities, I will intercede or bear witness for him on the Day of Resurrection."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ صَبَرَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهَا وَشِدَّتِهَا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "No one bears the hardships and efforts of Medina except that I will intercede for him or bear witness for him on the Day of Judgment."
