[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man being carried by his two sons, so he asked, "What is this?" They replied, "O Messenger of Allah, he vowed to perform Hajj on foot." He said, "Verily, Allah does not need to punish himself, so let him ride."  

أحمد:١٣٨٦٦حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ وَثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

The Prophet ﷺ saw an old man walking, supported by his two sons, and asked about him. The people informed him that he had vowed to go on foot (to the Kaʿba). He said, "Allah is not in need of this old man's torturing himself," and ordered him to ride.

What is the matter with him? They said: He had taken the vow to walk (on foot to the Ka'ba). Thereupon he (Allah's Apoitle) said: Allah is indifferent to his inflicting upon himself chastisement, and he commanded him to ride.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man that he was supported between his sons. He asked about him, and (the people) said: He has taken a vow to walk (on foot). Thereupon he said: Allah has no need that this man should punish himself, and he ordered him to ride. Abu Dawud said: 'Amr b. Abi 'Amir has also narrated a similar tradition from al-A'raj on the authority of Abu Hurairah from the Prophet ﷺ.

[Machine] He informed him that he heard Anas ibn Malik saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man who was being led between two people, so he asked about him and they said, "He vowed to walk to the Kaaba." أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ فَقَالُوا نَذَرَ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ يَعْنِي إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ لِغَنِيٌّ عَنْ تَعْذِيبِ هَذَا نَفْسَهُ» وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَرْكَبَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ saw a man being restricted by two people and said, "What is the matter with him?" They said, "He has vowed to perform Hajj on foot." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah is not in need of his walking. He should ride instead."
