ذِكْرُ إِبَاحَةِ رُكُوبِ النَّاذِرِ الْمَشْيَ إِلَى بَيْتِ اللَّهِ الْحَرَامِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا

ibnhibban:4383Abū Yaʿlá > Muḥammad b. al-Minhāl al-Ḍarīr > Yazīd b. Zurayʿ > Ḥumayd > Thābit al-Bunānī > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ saw a man being restricted by two people and said, "What is the matter with him?" They said, "He has vowed to perform Hajj on foot." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah is not in need of his walking. He should ride instead."  

ابن حبّان:٤٣٨٣أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الضَّرِيرُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتِ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

رَأَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يُهَادَى بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ فَقَالَ «مَا لَهُ؟ » قَالُوا نَذَرَ أَنْ يَحُجَّ مَاشِيًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ مَشْيِ هَذَا فَلْيَرْكَبْ»

"The Prophet saw a man being supported by two others and said: 'What is this?' They said: 'He vowed to walk to the House of Allah.' He said: 'Allah has no need for this man to torture himself. Tell him to ride.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man being carried by his two sons, so he asked, "What is this?" They replied, "O Messenger of Allah, he vowed to perform Hajj on foot." He said, "Verily, Allah does not need to punish himself, so let him ride."  

أحمد:١٣٨٦٦حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ وَثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يُهَادَى بَيْنَ ابْنَيْنِ لَهُ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا؟ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَحُجَّ مَاشِيًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنْ تَعْذِيبِهِ نَفْسَهُ فَلْيَرْكَبْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man being led between his two sons. He asked, "What is this?" They replied, "He vowed to walk." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah is wealthy and does not need to punish himself." He then ordered him to ride.
