ahmad:13867ʿAffān > Ḥammād > Thābit > Anas

[Machine] That people said, "O Messenger of Allah, our livestock and wealth have been destroyed, so pray for rain for us." He stood on the pulpit on Friday and prayed for rain. Hammad spread his hands towards his chest and his palms covered his abdomen, such that it seemed as if he was holding the earth and the sky in his hands. A cloud appeared, and it did not dissipate until the strong youth felt compelled to return to his family. We were blessed with rain until the next Friday. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, the structures have collapsed and the roads have been cut off, so pray to Allah to remove the difficulty from us." The Messenger of Allah laughed and said, "O Allah, let the rain be around us and not on us." The rain then fell, and the city appeared as if it was wreathed in flowers.
