Thereupon Allah revealed : “They question thee concerning menstruation. Say : I: is an illness, so let woman alone at such times” (ii 222). The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) then said: Associate with them in the houses and do everything except sexual intercourse. Thereupon the Jews said: This man does not want to leave anything we do without opposing us in it. Usaid b. Hudair and Abbad b. Bishr came and said: Messenger of Allah, the jews are saying such and such a thing. Shall we not then have intercourse with women during mensuration? The face of the Apostle Allah ﷺ underwent such a change that we thought he was angry with them; but when they went out they received a gift of milk which was being brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he sent after them and gave them a drink, whereupon we thought that he was not angry with them. [Machine] It was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ upon his return from Hudaybiyah, and his companions were mixed with sadness and gloom as there was a barrier between them and their rituals. They sacrificed the animals in Hudaybiyah, "Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], a clear conquest." (Surah Al-Fath, verse 1) until his statement, "Straight Path." (Surah An-Nisa, verse 68). He said, "Indeed, two verses were revealed to me that are dearer to me than the entire world." When he recited them, a man said, "Congratulations, O Prophet of Allah! Allah has made clear to you what He wills for you. So what will He do with us?" So Allah revealed the verse that follows, "That Allah may admit the believing men and the believing women to Gardens beneath which rivers flow." (Surah Al-Fath, verse 5), until the end of the verse.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ loved good dreams. Sometimes he would ask, "Has anyone of you seen a dream?" If a man saw a dream, he would ask about it. If there was nothing worrisome in his dream, the Prophet ﷺ would be pleased with his dream and take it as a good omen. One day, a woman came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I saw as if I entered Paradise. I heard a sound coming from it, and when I looked, I saw that twelve men were brought, one after another, until they totaled twelve. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dispatched a messenger before that, and then she continued: They came wearing garments made of brocade, and their faces were bright like the full moon." She said that they were taken to the river of Al-Bayda or Al-Baidah, and were immersed in it. When they emerged, their faces were shining like the full moon. Then they were brought golden chairs, on which they sat. They were also given a parchment in which there was something similar to Basra, and they ate from it. They would flip it over to one side and eat from a fruit they desired, and then flip it over to another side and eat from a different fruit they desired. I also ate with them. At that moment, Al-Bashir came from that expedition and said, "O Messenger of Allah, it concerned us," and he mentioned the men who the woman had already counted. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On behalf of the woman, narrate your dream." So Al-Bashir narrated the dream, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This is as she said it was."
