said: "It reached Safiyyah that Hafsah said: 'The daughter of a Jew' so she wept. Then the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her while she was crying, so he said: 'What makes you cry?' She said: 'Hafsah said to me that I am the daughter of a Jew.' So the Prophet ﷺ said: 'And you are the daughter of a Prophet, and your uncle is a Prophet, and you are married to a Prophet, so what is she boasting to you about?' Then he said: 'Fear Allah, O Hafsah.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3894)

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon on the pulpit, praising a woman from the Ansar (people of Madinah) to her father. He said, "I will go and ask her mother's permission (for marriage)." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "That would be good." The man then went to his wife and told her what the Prophet said. She said with surprise, "By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ only seeks Juleibib, and we have refused him for so-and-so and so-and-so (men)." The man said, "And the slave girl, with her veil on, was listening." He then went to inform the Prophet ﷺ about this, when the slave girl said, "Do you want to contradict the order of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? If he is pleased with you, then marry him." It is as if she (the girl) had disappeared from her parents (i.e. she did not need their permission) and they said, "You have spoken the truth." So her father went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "If you have already accepted him (for marriage), then we accept him." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, I have accepted him." He then married her off. The people of Madinah were shocked and disturbed. They gathered and found Juleibib killed, and there were some polytheists surrounding him, whom he had killed. Anas said, "I saw her (the girl) and indeed, she was one of the most generous people in Madinah."

[Machine] "He said: A man from the tribe of Tamim came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, I have a lot of wealth, and I have a family, children, and a hometown. So, tell me how should I spend (my wealth)? And how should I act? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: You should give the Zakat from your wealth, for it is a means of purifying you, connecting you with your relatives, acknowledging the right of the beggar, the neighbor, and the poor. The man said: O Messenger of Allah, advise me to do less. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Give the rightful share to your close ones, the poor, and the traveler, and do not be extravagant. The man said: It is sufficient for me, O Messenger of Allah, to deliver the Zakat to your messenger, for in doing so, I have fulfilled my obligation towards Allah and His Messenger. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Yes, if you deliver the Zakat to my messenger, then you have fulfilled your obligation towards it, and you will receive its reward while the sin of not delivering it will fall upon those who change it."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ arrived in Medina, which was a bustling city. The people were intrigued, and when the Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque, he found people sitting and praying. The Prophet ﷺ said that the prayer of those sitting is half the prayer of those standing. In response to this, the people eagerly stood up to perform their prayers.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Busaisah as a scout to see what the caravan of Abu Sufyan was doing. He came (back and met the Prophet in his house) where there was nobody except myself and the Messenger of Allah. I do not remember whether he (Hadrat Anas) made an exception of some wives of the Prophet ﷺ or not and told him the news of the caravan. (Having heard the news), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out (hurriedly), spoke to the people and said: We are in need (of men) ; whoever has an animal to ride upon ready with him should ride with us. People began to ask him permission for bringing their riding animals which were grazing on the hillocks near Medina. He said: No. (I want) only those who have their riding animals ready. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions proceeded towards Badr and reached there forestalling the polytheists (of Mecca). When the polytheists (also) reached there, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: None of you should step forward to (do) anything unless I am ahead of him. The polytheists (now) advanced (towards us), and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. Get up to enter Paradise which is equal in width to the heavens and the earth. 'Umair b. al- Humam al-Ansari said: Messenger of Allah, is Paradise equal in extent to the heavens and the earth? He said: Yes. 'Umair said: My goodness! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him: What prompted you to utter these words (i. e. my goodness! ')? He said: Messenger of Allah, nothing but the desire that I be among its residents. He said: Thou art (surely) amona its residents. He took out dates from his bag and began to eat them. Then he said: If I were to live until I have eaten all these dates of mine, it would be a long life. (The narrator said): He threw away all the dates he had with him. Then he fought the enemies until he was killed. (Using translation from Muslim 1901)

My deeds have been wasted, and I am from the people of the Hellfire.' He then sat with his sorrowful family, and the Messenger of Allah then asked about him. Some people went to him and said, 'The Messenger of Allah is asking about you, what is wrong?' He said, 'I am the one who used to raise my voice above the voice of the Prophet, and I would speak openly. My deeds have been wasted, and I am from the people of the Hellfire.' They went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of what he had said. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'No, rather he is from the people of Paradise.' Anas said, 'We used to see him walking among us, and we knew that he was from the people of Paradise. [Machine] Steadfast, it was as if I detested that, so I said, "O Abu Hamzah, if you were to call them by their names." He replied, "There is no harm in that. Shall I inform you about your brothers whom we used to call the Qurraa' during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? They were seventy in number. When nightfall came upon them, they would go to a teacher in Al-Madinah and study the Quran until morning. Then, whoever had strength would fetch water, and others would bring firewood. Those who had the means would contribute and they would buy a sheep, which they would slaughter and prepare. In the morning, they would hang it at the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . When Khubayb (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent them to ask for blood money. They came to a settlement of Banu Sulaym, among whom there was Haram. Haram forbade their Amir from speaking to them and said, 'Leave me so that I may inform these people that we do not need them until they show their faces.' 'Affan said, 'They will show their faces.' Haram told them, 'We have no need for you,' and a man approached them with a spear and pierced him with it. When he discovered the spear in his stomach, he said, 'Allahu Akbar! By the Lord of the Ka'bah, I have succeeded!' Then, they attacked them and none of them survived. Anas said, 'I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so happy about anything I did not see anything on them except a small sword, which the Prophet ﷺ did not find upon them. Whenever he prayed Fajr, he raised his hands and invoked curses upon them. After that, whenever Abu Talhah said, 'May you perish in the fight of the forbidden,' I would say to him, 'May Allah deal with him as He wills' and it would be that Allah had already dealt with him. [Machine] Usaid ibn Hudayr and another man from the Ansar were speaking to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night about a matter that concerned them. They stayed with him until a late hour of the night, which was extremely dark. Then they left the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with each of them holding a stick. One of the sticks lit up for them and they walked in its light until they reached their destination. When they reached a point where their paths diverged, the stick of one of them lit up for the other so that each of them walked in the light of his own stick until he reached his family.

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Khaybar, Al-Hajjaj bin 'Ilat said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have wealth and family in Makkah, and I want to go to them. I am in a state of Ihram, so if I receive something from you or say something, will I still be considered in a state of Ihram?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him permission to say whatever he wished, so he went to his wife when he arrived and said, "Gather for me whatever you have, for I want to buy from the spoils of Muhammad ﷺ and his companions, for they have been made permissible. Their wealth has been taken." This news spread in Makkah, and the Muslims were saddened while the polytheists rejoiced. The news reached Al-'Abbas, who was disturbed and could not stand up. Ma'mar mentioned that 'Uthman Al-Jazari told me about Miqussam, who said that his son, named Qutham, was taken by his father and placed on his chest while he said, "My dear Qutham, you resemble the one with the flattened nose, the Asammaynabi, the one with blessings despite people's rejection." Thabit reported from Anas that the boy was then sent to Al-Hajjaj bin 'Ilat, who said to him, "Woe to you! What have you brought and what do you say?" The boy replied, "The promise of Allah is better than what I brought. Al-Hajjaj bin 'Ilat said to his boy, "Read the greeting to my father and tell him that he should let me into some of his houses so that I may come to him. Tell him that the news is according to his liking." When Al-Hajjaj bin 'Ilat's boy arrived at the door of his home, he said, "Be happy, O Abu Al-Fadl!" Al-'Abbas joyfully stepped forward and kissed him between his eyes, and he informed him of what Al-Hajjaj had said. Al-Hajjaj then came and informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had conquered Khaybar, seized their wealth, and the arrows of Allah (referring to the blessings) had been shot in their wealth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had chosen Safiyyah bint Huyayy for himself and offered her the choice to either be set free and become his wife, or to return to her people. She chose to be set free and became his wife. However, I have come for the wealth that I had here and I wanted to collect it. So, I sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he gave me permission to say whatever I wished. So, keep three things secret from me and mention what you may have heard." Al-Hajjaj's wife gathered whatever jewelry and belongings she had and handed them over to him. Then he put them on and, after three days, Al-'Abbas came to Al-Hajjaj's wife and asked her, "What did your husband do?" She informed him that he had left on such and such date and said, "Do not be saddened by what you have heard. May Allah bless you, O Abu Al-Fadl." Al-'Abbas replied, "By Allah, I believe that you are telling the truth." He then left until he came to the gatherings of the Quraysh, where they were saying that when he passed by them, nothing but good would come to him. They said to him, "Nothing but good has come to you, O Abu Al-Fadl." He replied, "By the grace of Allah, nothing but good has come to me. Al-Hajjaj bin 'Ilat has informed me that Khaybar has been conquered by the Prophet ﷺ , the arrows of Allah (referring to the blessings) have been shot in their wealth, and the Prophet ﷺ has chosen Safiyyah for himself. He asked me to keep three things secret from him and said that he only came to collect his wealth that he had here. Then he will leave." Allah removed the sadness that was upon the Muslims and the joy that was upon the polytheists. The Muslims came out, and whoever had entered his home feeling sad returned. They came to Al-'Abbas, and he informed them of the news. The Muslims became joyful, and any feelings of sorrow, anger, or sadness towards the polytheists were reversed.

[Machine] Narrated by Abu Hamza: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ prayed the Dhuhr prayer one day, then he left until he sat on the seats on which Gabriel used to come to him. Then Bilal came and called him for Asr prayer. So, everyone who had a need or needed to perform ablution from the people of Madinah went to him. There were some men from the immigrants who didn't have families in Madinah, so the Messenger of Allah was brought a container filled with water. The Messenger of Allah then placed his hand in the container, but the container did not fit his hand. He said, "With this small amount of water, all of these people should perform ablution." Then he said, "Come closer and perform ablution with the water in the container." So they performed ablution until there was no one left except that they had performed ablution. That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "To go out in the cause of Allah in the morning, or the afternoon, is better than the world and what is in it. And the space that a bow of one of you - or the space that his hand - would occupy in Paradise is better than the world and what is in it. And if a woman among the women inhabiting Paradise were to appear to the people of the earth, then she would illuminate what is between the ( the heavens and the earth), and a pleasant scent would fill up what is between them, and the scarf on her head is better than the world and what is in it." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1651)

[Machine] Talhah heard Anas ibn Malik say, "Abu Talhah was the wealthiest of my Ansar brothers in Madinah, and his dearest possessions were his gardens in Bayrha." Bayrha was situated by the mosque, and the Prophet ﷺ entered it and drank from its pleasant water. Anas said, "When the verse 'You will never attain righteousness until you spend of that which you love' [Quran 3:92] was revealed, Abu Talhah said, 'O Messenger of Allah, indeed Allah says, "You will never attain righteousness until you spend of that which you love", and my dearest possessions to me are my gardens in Bayrha. They are Sadaqah (charity) for Allah's sake, and I hope for its reward and treasure with Allah. So, O Messenger of Allah, put it wherever Allah shows you.' The Prophet ﷺ said with a smile, 'That is a profitable wealth, and that is a profitable wealth.' I have heard and I think it is appropriate that you give it to your relatives.' Abu Talhah said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I will definitely do that.' So, Abu Talhah divided it among his relatives and his cousins."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a Muslim man asks Allah for Paradise three times, Paradise will say, 'O Allah, admit him to Paradise.' And when a Muslim man seeks refuge from the Hellfire from Allah three times, the Hellfire will say, 'O Allah, protect him.'

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hellfire will continue to say, 'Is there any more?' Then the Lord of the Worlds will place His foot in it and some parts of it will retract into one another, and it will say, 'By Your honor, no more, no more.' And Paradise will continue to have excellence until Allah creates another creation and makes them reside in the surplus of Paradise."
