[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ handed a man over to Hafsah, the daughter of Umar, and said to her, "Keep him." Hafsah became distracted and the man left. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered and asked, "O Hafsah, what did the man do?" She said, "I became distracted by him, O Messenger of Allah, and he left." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah sever your hand!" And she raised her hands like this. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered again and said, "What is the matter, O Hafsah?" She said, "O Messenger of Allah, you said this and that before." So he said to her, "Put your hands down, for I have asked Allah to grant forgiveness to anyone from my ummah whom I invoke Allah against."
