That Umm al-Fadl, daughter of al-Harith, sent him to Mu'aqiyah in Syria. He said: I came to syria and performed her work. The moon of Ramadan appeared while I was in Syria. We sighted the moon on the night of Friday. When I came to Median towards the end of the month (of Ramadan), Ibn 'Abbas asked me about the moon. He said: When did you sight the moon ? I said: I sighted it on the night of Friday. He asked: Did you sight it yourself ? I said: Yes, and the people sighted it. They fasted and Mu'awiyah also fasted. He said: But we sighted it on the night of saturday. Since then we have been fasting until we complete thirty days or we sight it. Then I said: Are the sighting of the moon by Mu'awiyah and his fasts not sufficient for us? He replied: No. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do so. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2332)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions performed umrah from al-Ji'ranah. They went quickly round the House (the Ka'bah) moving their shoulders) proudly. They put their upper garments under their armpits and threw the ends over their left shoulders. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1884)

So when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived for his appointed time in which he performed 'Umrah, he said to his companions, "Perform 'Umrah three times a year so that the polytheists may see your strength." When they threw the pebbles, the Quraysh said, "They have not been weakened."

Then, he came to the last Jamrat and Satan appeared to him again and threw seven pebbles at him but he evaded him.
When Ibrahim intended to sacrifice his son Ismail, he said to his father, "O my father, bind me securely, so that I do not panic and you shall find me patient when you sacrifice me." [Machine] When Allah revealed the verse "And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred" [Surah Ash-Shu'ara: 214], the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went to Mount Safa, climbed it, and called out, "O Sabahah!". The people gathered around him, including a man who would come to him and another man who would send his messenger. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O sons of 'Abdul-Muttalib! O sons of Fihr! O sons, O sons! If I were to inform you that there are horses at the foot of this mountain, would you believe me?" They said, "Yes." He then said, "I am a Warner to you before a severe punishment." Abu Lahab said, "May you perish for the rest of this day! Did you gather us only for this?" Then Allah revealed the verse "Perish the hands of Abu Lahab and perish he!" [Surah Al-Masad: 1].

"(6) The pen of ˹Divine Decree˺ has dried for what is to be. Thus if all creation put together intends to benefit you for a thing that has not been decreed for you by Allah they will not be able to so, and if they intend to harm you for a thing that has not been decreed for you by Allah, they will not be able to so. If I had not the fear of committing (sin) for concealing the knowledge I would not have written to him. Najda wrote to him saying (after praising the Almighty and invoking blessings on the Prophet): Tell me whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took women to participate with him in Jihad; (if he did), whether he allotted them a regular share from the booty; whether he killed the children of (the enemy in the war), how long an orphan would be entitled to consideration as such, and for whom the Khums (fifth part of the booty) was booty. Ibn Abbas wrote to him: You have written asking me whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took women with him to participate in Jihad. He did take them to the battle and sometimes he fought along with them. They would treat the wounded and were given a reward from the booty, but he did not assign any regular share for them. And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not kill the children of the enemy, so you should not kill the children. Also you have written to me asking me when the orphanhood of an orphan comes to an end. By my life, if a man has become bearded but is still incapable of getting his due from others or fulfilling his obligation towards them, (he is yet an orphan to be treated as such), but when he can look after his interests like grown-up people, he is no longer an orphan. And you have written to me inquiring about Khums as to whom it is meant for. (In this connection) we (the kinsmen of the Messenger of Allah) used to say: It is for us, but those people (i.e. Banu Umayya) have denied it to us. (Using translation from Muslim 1812a)

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3420)
[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: a man who believes in Allah and His Messenger should not hate the Ansar, or else Allah and His Messenger will hate him."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When it was the night of my journey and I woke up in Mecca, I became sad because of what happened and I realized that people denied it. So I sat alone in sadness. Abu Jahl, the enemy of Allah, passed by him and came and sat next to him and said to him mockingly, "Is there anything to it?" The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Yes." Abu Jahl said, "What is it?" The Prophet (PBUH) said, "I was taken on a night journey." Abu Jahl asked, "Where?" The Prophet (PBUH) said, "To the Al-Aqsa Mosque." Abu Jahl asked, "Then you were between our two mountains?" The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Yes." Abu Jahl did not show him that he denied it, fearing that the people would deny the narration if the people were called to it. He asked, "What if I called your people and told them what you have told me?" The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Yes." So he said, "Come, O assembly of Bani Ka'b ibn Lu'ay." The gatherings rose and came until they sat next to them. He said, "Tell your people what you have told me." The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "I was taken on a night journey." They asked, "Where?" He said, "To the Al-Aqsa Mosque." They asked, "Then you were between our two mountains?" He said, "Yes." Among the assembly, there was someone who had traveled to that place and had seen the mosque. So the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Then I will describe the mosque to you." And I continued to describe it until some of the descriptions coincided with the description of the mosque for me. He said, "Then bring the mosque and I will describe it to you." And I kept looking until he placed under his clothing a headband or an anklet, so I described it to him as I looked at it. He said, "And there was another description with this one that I did not memorize." So the people said, "As for the descriptions, by Allah, it is true."

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When Allah drowned Fir'awn he said: 'I believe that there is no god except the One that the children of Isra'il believe in.' So Jibrail said: 'O Muhammad! If you could only have seen me, while I was taking (the mud) from the sea, and filling his mouth out of fear that the mercy would reach him.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3107)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the night of my Isra' (the Night Journey) was upon me, a pleasant fragrance came upon me. So I said, 'O Jibril, what is this pleasant fragrance?' He said, 'This is the fragrance of the combing of the daughter of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and her children.' I said, 'What is her affair?' He said, 'While she was combing the hair of the daughter of Fir'aun one day, the comb fell from her hand. She said, 'Bismillah' (in the name of Allah). The daughter of Fir'aun said, 'Is it to me you are referring, my father?' She said, 'No, but to my Lord and your Lord, Allah.' The daughter of Fir'aun said, 'I will inform him about that.' So she informed him, and he called her and said, 'O So-and-so, do you have a Lord other than me?' She said, 'Yes, my Lord and your Lord is Allah.' So he ordered for a cow of brass to be brought, and it was heated. Then he ordered for her and her children to be thrown into it. She said to him, 'I have a need for you.' He said, 'What is your need?' She said, 'I want my bones and the bones of my children to be gathered together in one garment and buried.' He said, 'This will be done for you.' Then he ordered for her children to be thrown before her, one by one, until it came to a young boy who was still breastfeeding. She hesitated because of him, so the boy said, 'O mother, enter, for the punishment of this world is easier than the punishment of the Hereafter.' So she entered, and Ibn Abbas said, 'Four individuals have spoken as infants: Jesus son of Mary ﷺ , the companion of Jurayj, the witness of Yusuf (Joseph), and the son of the daughter of Fir'aun who said this.'"

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taken on the night journey, a pleasant fragrance passed by him, so he mentioned something similar to it.
[Machine] "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taken on the Night Journey, he passed by a pleasant fragrance. So he mentioned it, except that he said, 'Who is your Lord?' She (the fragrance) said, 'My Lord and your Lord is Allah.' And he did not mention the saying of Ibn Abbas that four spoke."
This tradition has also been narrated on the authority of ‘A’ishah through a different chain. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 99)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever dislikes a matter from his ruler, let him be patient, for there is no one among the people who leaves the authority by a hand-span and dies except that he dies the death of ignorance."
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ, it is narrated that he said, "Whoever sees something disliked from his leader and mentions it..."
[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ from his Lord, he said: Indeed, Allah has written down the good deeds and the bad deeds. So whoever intends to do a good deed and does not do it, Allah will write for him a complete good deed. And if he does it, Allah will write for him from ten multiples to seven hundred multiples, or many more multiples. And whoever intends to commit a bad deed and does not do it, Allah will write for him a complete good deed. And if he commits it, Allah will write for him one bad deed."
A man came to Prophet ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah, my sister has taken a vow to perform hajj on foot. The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah gets no good from the affliction your sister imposed on herself, so let her perform hajj riding and make atonement for her oath. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3295)

[Machine] About Ibn Abbas, he disliked being alone and used to say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the delegation of Abd al-Qais from dancing. So, I am afraid that (the prohibition) was due to the occurrence of mischief.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura. He asked them, "What is this day that you fast?" They replied, "This is a righteous day, the day on which Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemy, so Moses fasted it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have more right to Moses than you do." So, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasted on that day and commanded others to fast as well.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was asked on the Day of Sacrifice, "O Messenger of Allah, a man slaughtered [an animal] before throwing stones [at Jamrat] or shaving [his head] before slaughtering [the animal]." He replied, "There is no harm in that." It was said, "Then, he was not asked about anything that day except that he gathered both hands as if he was throwing with them, and he said, 'There is no harm, there is no harm.'"
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Kaaba and inside it were six bracelets. He stood by each pillar and supplicated, but he did not pray in it.
[Machine] "To perform the Hajj on foot, the Prophet ﷺ was asked, and he said, 'Indeed, Allah, the Almighty, is independent of your sister's vow for you to ride and sacrifice a camel."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the Sa'y (ritual walking) and performed it again. He performed it to show the strength of the polytheists. He said, "I pardoned them." That is why the Messenger of Allah ﷺ loved to show people his strength.
I asked Ibn 'Abbas about the Witr prayer. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: It is a rak'ah at the end of the night prayer. (Using translation from Muslim 753)
[Machine] "So we informed him, and he said, 'Go to a people who have dates and water flowing in each valley according to its capacity.' He said, 'We said, 'Your goodness and kindness have increased, seek permission for us from Ibn Abbas.' He said, 'So he sought permission for us, and we heard Ibn Abbas narrating about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon on the day of Tabuk, and he said, 'There is no one among the people like a man who takes hold of the reins of his horse and strives in the cause of Allah, and avoids the evils of people. And there is no one like a man who grazes his sheep, accommodating his guests and fulfilling their rights.' He said, 'I said, 'Did he mention anything else?' He said, 'He mentioned it.' He said, 'I said, 'Did he mention anything else?' He said, 'He mentioned it.' He said, 'I said, 'Did he mention anything else?' He said, 'He mentioned it.' So I glorified and praised Allah and thanked Him.'"
