They said: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we saw you stretching out your hand when you were standing, then we saw you moving backward. He said: 'I saw Paradise-or it was shown to me- and I reached out to a take a bunch of its fruits. If I ha taken it you would have eaten from it for as long as this world lasts. And I saw Hell and I have never seen anything like it, and I saw that most of its inhabitants are women.' They said: "Why, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: 'Because of their ingratitude.' It was said: 'Are they ungrateful to Allah?' He said: 'They are ungrateful to their husbands and they are ungrateful for kind treatment. If you are kind to one of them for a lifetime, then she sees (one) bad thing from you, she will say: I have never seen anything good from you.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1493)

‘Abd Allah bin Abbas said Al Fadl bin Abbas was riding the Camel behind the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ. A woman of the tribe of Khath’am came seeking his (the Prophet’s) decision (about a problem relating to Hajj). Al Fadl began to look at her and she too began to look at him. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ would turn the face of Fadl to the other side. She said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ Allaah’s commandment that His servants should perform Hajj has come when my father is an old man and is unable to sit firmly on a Camel. May I perform Hajj on his behalf? He said yes, That was at the Farewell Pilgrimage. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1809)

And if I do it while walking, I am not capable of doing so. Should I perform Hajj on his behalf?' I, the narrator said, 'Were you responsible for any debt he left behind?' The man said, 'Yes.' I, the narrator said, 'Then perform Hajj on his behalf.'"
