The Apostle of Allaah ( sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam ) used to remember Allaah, the Great and Majestic, at all moments. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 18)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَذْكُرُ اللهَ ﷻ عَلَى كُلِّ أَحْيَانِهِ
The Apostle of Allaah ( sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam ) used to remember Allaah, the Great and Majestic, at all moments. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 18)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَذْكُرُ اللهَ ﷻ عَلَى كُلِّ أَحْيَانِهِ
[Machine] I asked Aisha, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wash when he became junub?"
سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ قُلْتُ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَجْنَبَ فَغَسَلَ
I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about looking to the sides during prayer. He said: It is something which the devil snatches from a servant’s prayers. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 910)
سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ التَّلَفُّتِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ اخْتِلَاسٌ يَخْتَلِسُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَبْدِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed while wearing a garment, some of which was upon me.
صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ بَعْضُهُعَلَيَّ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever Allah ﷻ makes responsible for the affairs of the Muslims and he intends good with it, Allah ﷻ will grant him a trustworthy minister. If he forgets, he will be reminded, and if he remembers, he will be assisted."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ وَلَّاهُ اللهُ ﷻ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ شَيْئًا فَأَرَادَ بِهِ خَيْرًا جَعَلَ لَهُ وَزِيرَ صِدْقٍ فَإِنْ نَسِيَ ذَكَّرَهُ وَإِنْ ذَكَرَ أَعَانَهُ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Oh Aisha, be aware of the sins that are belittled, as indeed they have a seeker from Allah."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِيَّاكِ وَمُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ فَإِنَّ لَهَا مِنَ اللهِ ﷻ طَالِبًا
“I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was dying, and there was a bowl of water next to him. He put his hand in the vessel and wiped his face with the water, and said: ‘O Allah, help me to bear the agonies of death.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1623)
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَمُوتُ وَعِنْدَهُ قَدَحٌ فِيهَا مَاءٌ وَهُوَ يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ فِيهِ فَيَمْسَحُ بِهِ وَجْهَهُ وَيَقُولُ اللهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى سَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ
"The image-makers will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be told: 'Give life to that which you have created.' " (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2151)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ هَذِهِ الصُّوَرِ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to Aisha, "O Aisha, you cannot count, but Allah will count against you."
النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَهَا يَا عَائِشَةُ لَا تُحْصِي فَيُحْصِي اللهُ عَلَيْكِ
[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "The world is the home of those who have no home, and the wealth of those who have no wealth, and it gathers those who have no intellect."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الدُّنْيَا دَارُ مَنْ لَا دَارَ لَهُ وَمَالُ مَنْ لَا مَالَ لَهُ وَلَهَا يَجْمَعُ مَنْ لَا عَقْلَ لَهُ
[Machine] He heard Aisha saying, "A crescent was passing by us, and another crescent would never be lit in a house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that had fire." I said, "O Aunt, what were you living on?" She said, "On black dates and water."
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ كَانَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا هِلَالٌ وَهِلَالٌ مَا يُوقَدُ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَارٌ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا خَالَةُ فَعَلَىأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُمْ تَعِيشُونَ؟ قَالَتْ عَلَى الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ التَّمْرِ وَالْمَاءِ
[Machine] "She said, 'By the One who sent Muhammad with the truth, he has not seen a palm tree nor eaten bread made from date palms since Allah ﷻ sent him until he passed away.' I asked, 'How do you eat barley?' She said, 'We used to say, "May it be blessed."' "
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَ مُحَمَّدًا بِالْحَقِّ مَا رَأَى مُنْخُلًا وَلَا أَكَلَ خُبْزًا مَنْخُولًا مُنْذُ بَعَثَهُ اللهُ ﷻ إِلَى أَنْ قُبِضَ قُلْتُ كَيْفَ تَأْكُلُونَ الشَّعِيرَ؟ قَالَتْ كُنَّا نَقُولُ أُفٍّ
[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, shall we not go out and strive with you?" He said, "No. Your valid pilgrimage is your Jihad."
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَا نَخْرُجُ نُجَاهِدُ مَعَكُمْ قَالَ لَا جِهَادُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ الْمَبْرُورُ هُوَ لَكُنَّ جِهَادٌ
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Every intoxicant is unlawful. Whatever a Faraq of it intoxicates, then a handful of it is unlawful." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1866)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَسْكَرَ الْفَرْقُ مِنْهُ إِذَا شَرِبْتَهُ فَمِلْءُ الْكَفِّ مِنْهُ حَرَامٌ
[Machine] The passage translates to: "Narrated by Mutarrif ibn Tariif, Rabii' ibn Sabeegh, and Layth ibn Abi Sulaim."
عَنْهُ مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ ورَبِيعُ بْنُ صَبِيحٍ وَلَيْثُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ
“I could not find him, meaning the Prophet ﷺ, and he was in Al-Baqi’. He said: “As-salamu ‘alaykum dara qawmin mu’minin. Antum lana faratun wa inna bikum lahiqun. Allahumma la tahrimna ajrahum wa la taftinna ba’dahum. (Peace be upon you, O abode of believing people. You have gone ahead of us and verily we will join you soon. O Allah, do not deprive us of their reward and do not put us to trial after them).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1546)
فَقَدْتُهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَقَالَ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ دَارَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنْتُمْ لَنَا فَرَطٌ وَإِنَّا بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ اللهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُمْ وَلَا تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُمْ تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
[Machine] The sitting prayer is half the duration of the standing prayer, but not in a reclining position.
صَلَاةُ الْقَاعِدِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ غَيْرَ مُتَرَبِّعٍ
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah ﷻ wills good for family, he enters tenderness into their ˹hearts for each other˺".
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ ﷻ بِأَهْلِ بَيْتٍ خَيْرًا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّفْقَ۔»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about the woman who sees something that makes her doubt her state of purity after menstruation, "It is only a vein or veins."
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي تَرَى مَا يُرِيبُهَا بَعْدَ الطُّهْرِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ أَوْ قَالَ عُرُوقٌ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to wake up in a state of sexual impurity (junub), then he would perform ghusl (ritual bathing), and then proceed to offer the morning prayer. I would hear his recitation and he would fast.
كَانَ تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ ثُمَّ يَغْدُو إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَأَسْمَعُ قِرَاءَتَهُ وَيَصُومُ
[Machine] I heard Abu Salama say that both Aisha and I entered from outside onto Aisha, and her brother asked her about the washings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so she called for a container that was about a sa' in capacity, and she washed and poured it onto her head three times while there was a curtain between us and her.
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ يَقُولُ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَخُو عَائِشَةَ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَأَلَهَا أَخُوهَا عَنْ غُسْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَتْ بِإِنَاءٍ نَحْوًا مِنْ صَاعٍ فَاغْتَسَلَتْ وَأَفْرَغَتْ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثَلَاثًا وَبَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهَاالْحِجَابُ
"What becomes unlawful through breastfeeding is that which becomes unlawful through birth." (Using translation from Muslim 1444b)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَرِّمُوا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ مَا تُحَرِّمُونَ مِنَ الْوِلَادَةِ
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Every intoxicant is forbidden; if a faraq of anything causes intoxication, a handful of it is forbidden. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3687)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَسْكَرَ مِنْهُ الْفَرْقُ فَمِلْءُ الْكَفِّ مِنْهُ حَرَامٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not drink except what has been poured for you."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَشْرَبُوا إِلَّا فِيمَا أُوكِئَ عَلَيْهِ
[Machine] "She was with the Prophet ﷺ during a journey, and her camel misbehaved. The Prophet ﷺ commanded the camel to be returned and said, 'No cursed thing should accompany me.'"
أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ فَلَعَنَتْ بَعِيرًا لَهَا فَأَمَرَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُرَدَّ وَقَالَ لَا يَصْحَبُنِي شَيْءٌمَلْعُونٌ
"The Messenger of Allah used to put his head in my lap when I was menstruating and recite Qur'an." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 634)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَضَعُ رَأْسَهُ فِي حِجْرِهَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَيَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ
[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ regarding a man who has sexual intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating, he said to him, 'What is above the waistcloth (i.e. the waist area)?'
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الرَّجُلِ يُبَاشِرُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ قَالَ لَهُ مَا فَوْقَ الْإِزَارِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed a pulpit for Hassan in the mosque, and he would defend him with poetry. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say, "Indeed, Allah ﷻ supports Hassan with the Holy Spirit, defending His Messenger ﷺ."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَضَعَ لِحَسَّانَ مِنْبَرًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يُنَافِحُ عَنْهُ بِالشِّعْرِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَيُؤَيِّدُ حَسَّانَ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ يُنَافِحُ عَنْ رَسُولِهِ ﷺ
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ مِثْلَهُ
[Machine] Aisha used to regularly recite, so she was asked, "What is your reason for doing this?" She replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'No servant intends to pay off their debt except that Allah will grant them help.' Therefore, I seek that help."
كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَدَّانُ فَقِيلَ لَهَا مَا لَكِ وَلِلدَّيْنِ؟ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ نِيَّةٌ فِي أَدَاءِ دَيْنِهِ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ اللهِ ﷻ عَوْنٌ فَأَنَا أَلْتَمِسُ ذَلِكَ الْعَوْنَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ had three things that he liked in this world: food, women, and perfume. He managed to have two of them, but not one. He had women and perfume, but not food.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُعْجِبُهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا ثَلَاثَةٌ الطَّعَامُ وَالنِّسَاءُ وَالطِّيبُ فَأَصَابَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُصِبْ وَاحِدَةً أَصَابَ النِّسَاءَ وَالطِّيبَ وَلَمْ يُصِبِ الطَّعَامَ
The Prophet ﷺ said: Any person who offers prayer at night regularly but (on a certain night) he is dominated by sleep will be given the reward of praying. His sleep will be almsgiving. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1314)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنَ امْرِئٍ تَكُونُ لَهُ صَلَاةٌ بِاللَّيْلِ فَيَغْلِبُهُ عَلَيْهَا نَوْمٌ إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللهُ ﷻ لَهُ أَجْرَ صَلَاتِهِ وَكَانَ نَوْمُهُ ذَلِكَ صَدَقَةً
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered and heard the sound of a crying child, so he asked, "Why is your child crying? Have you not sought protection for him from the evil eye?"
دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتَ صَبِيٍّ يَبْكِي فَقَالَ مَا لِصَبِيِّكُمْ هَذَا يَبْكِي هَلَّا اسْتَرْقَيْتُمْ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَيْنِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever takes the first seven, he is a scholar."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَخَذَ السَّبْعَ الْأُوَلَ فَهُوَ حَبْرٌ
[Machine] Narrated by Abu Abdur Rahman, and this is what I think is mentioned about him in a report from his father, from Al-A'raj, but this is how it is in the book, so I do not know if my father omitted it or if it was transmitted like this.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهَذَا أَرَى أَنَّ فِيهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ وَلَكِنْ كَذَا كَانَ فِي الْكِتَابِ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَغْفَلَهُ أَبِي أَوْ كَذَا هُوَ مُرْسَلٌ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Decree) in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوَتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not observe either in Ramadan or in other months more than eleven rak'ahs (of the night prayer). He (in the first instance) observed four rak'ahs. Ask not about their excellence and their length (i. e. these were matchless in perfection and length). He again observed four rak'ahs, and ask not about their excellence and their length. He would then observe three rak'ahs (of the Witr prayer). 'A'isha again said: I said: Messenger of Allah, do you sleep before observing the Witr prayer? He said: O 'A'isha, my eyes sleep but my heart does not sleep. (Using translation from Muslim 738a)
أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ كَيْفَ كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي رَمَضَانَ؟ فَقَالَتْ مَا كَانَ يَزِيدُ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَلَا فِي غَيْرِهِ عَلَى إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً يُصَلِّي أَرْبَعًا فَلَا تَسْأَلْ عَنْ طُولِهِنَّ وَحُسْنِهِنَّ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي أَرْبَعًا فَلَا تَسْأَلْ عَنْ حُسْنِهِنَّ وَطُولِهِنَّ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي ثَلَاثًا فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَنَامُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُوتِرَ؟ قَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ عَيْنِي تَنَامُ وَلَا يَنَامُ قَلْبِي
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded that use should be made of the skins of dead animals, if they were tanned.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3612)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَ أَنْ يُنْتَفَعَ بِجُلُودِ الْمَيْتَةِ إِذَا دُبِغَتْ
'Aishah commanded me to write for her come passage from the Qur'an. She also added: When you reach the following verse, inform me: "Be guardian of your prayers and of the midmost prayer" (2:238). When I reached it, I informed her. She asked me to write: "Be guardians of your prayers, and of the midmost prayer, and of the 'Asr prayer, and stand up with devotion of Allah" (2:238). 'Aishah then said: I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 410)
إِذَا بَلَغْتَ إِلَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى} [البقرة 238] فَآذِنِّي فَلَمَّا بَلَغْتُهَا آذَنْتُهَا فَأَمْلَتْ عَلَيَّ حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should pray while in the presence of food, nor while he is being repelled by the two impurities."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُصَلِّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِحَضْرَةِ الطَّعَامِ وَلَا وَهُوَ يُدَافِعُهُ الْأَخْبَثَانِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever does an act that is not in accordance with our command, it will be rejected."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَنَعَ أَمْرًا عَلَى غَيْرِ أَمْرِنَا فَهُوَ مَرْدُودٌ
“The bed of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was made of leather, stuffed with fibers of date-palm trees.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4151)
كَانَ فِرَاشُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَدَمًا وَحَشْوُهُ لِيفٌ
'A'isha reported this hadith through other chains of transmitters also (and the words are) that Messenger of Allah ﷺ died (in a state) when the people could afford to eat only the dates and water. (Using translation from Muslim 2975a)
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ شَبِعَ النَّاسُ مِنَ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ الْمَاءِ وَالتَّمْرِ
"I asked 'Aishah about the Witr of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, how would he perform Witr, was it during the first part of the night or the end of it? She said: 'All of that. Sometimes he would perform Witr during the first part of the night, and sometimes he would perform Witr during the end of it.' So I said: 'All praise is due to Allah who made the matter accommodating.' I said: 'How was his recitation, was he quiet with recitations or loud?' She said: 'He would do all of that. Sometimes he would recite quietly and sometimes aloud.' I said: 'All praise is due to Allah who made the matter accommodating. He said: 'I said: 'How would he deal with sexual impurity? Would he perform Ghusl prior to sleeping or would he sleep prior to Ghusl?' She said: 'He would do all of that. Sometimes he would perform Ghusl then sleep, and sometimes he would perform Wudu and then sleep.' I said: 'Allah praise is due to Allah who made the matter accommodating.'" سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُوتِرُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ مِنْ آخِرِهِ؟ فَقَالَتْ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ رُبَّمَا أَوْتَرَ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَرُبَّمَا أَوْتَرَ آخِرَهُ قُلْتُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الْأَمْرِ سَعَةًقُلْتُ كَيْفَ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَتُهُ يُسِرُّ أَوْ يَجْهَرُ؟ قَالَتْ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ رُبَّمَا أَسَرَّ وَرُبَّمَا جَهَرَ قَالَ قُلْتُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الْأَمْرِ سَعَةًقَالَ قُلْتُ كَيْفَ كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِي الْجَنَابَةِ؟ أَكَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَنَامُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ؟ قَالَتْ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ رُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ فَنَامَ وَرُبَّمَا تَوَضَّأَ وَنَامَ قَالَ قُلْتُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الْأَمْرِ سَعَةً
[Machine] Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "No prophet's soul is taken until he sees his reward, then it is returned to him and he is given the choice between keeping it or joining his Lord." So I memorized this statement from him. She then said, "I placed his head on my chest and looked at him until his gaze was fixed upward." She continued, "So I said, 'So by Allah, Allah does not choose us.' He said, 'With the highest companions in Paradise, with those whom Allah has favored among the prophets and the righteous' until the end of the verse."
عَائِشَةُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا تُقْبَضُ نَفْسُهُ ثُمَّ يَرَى الثَّوَابَ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّ إِلَيْهِ فَيُخَيَّرُ بَيْنَ أَنْ تُرَدَّ إِلَيْهِ إِلَى أَنْ يَلْحَقَ فَكُنْتُ قَدْ حَفِظْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ فَإِنِّي لَمُسْنِدَتُهُ إِلَى صَدْرِي فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ حَتَّى مَالَتْ عُنُقُهُ فَقُلْتُ قَدْ قَضَى قَالَتْ فَعَرَفْتُ الَّذِي قَالَ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ حَتَّى ارْتَفَعَ فَنَظَرَ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ إِذَنْ وَاللهِ لَا يَخْتَارُنَا فَقَالَ مَعَ الرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى فِي الْجَنَّةِ {مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ } [النساء 69] إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever from my Ummah (nation) is burdened with a debt and struggles to repay it, then dies without settling it, I am his guardian."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ حُمِّلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي دَيْنًا ثُمَّ جَهِدَ فِي قَضَائِهِ فَمَاتَ وَلَمْ يَقْضِهِ فَأَنَا وَلِيُّهُ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed four units of Dhuha prayer in my house.
صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي مِنَ الضُّحَى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Aisha, indeed the first among the people to be destroyed will be your people." She said, "May Allah make me a ransom for you, O son of Taim." He said, "No, rather this tribe of Quraysh, whom calamities are diverted from the people because of them, will be the first to be destroyed." I said, "So what will be the condition of the people after them?" He said, "They will be the solid foundation of the people, so when they are destroyed, the people will be destroyed as well."
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَهْلِكُ مِنَ النَّاسِ قَوْمُكِ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ جَعَلَنِي اللهُ فِدَاءَكَ أَبَنِي تَيْمٍ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنْ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ تَسْتَحْلِيهِمْ الْمَنَايَا ويَنْفَسُ الناسُ عَنْهُمْ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ هَلَاكًا قُلْتُ فَمَابَقَاءُ النَّاسِ بَعْدَهُمْ؟ قَالَ هُمْ صُلْبُ النَّاسِ فَإِذَا هَلَكُوا هَلَكَ النَّاسُ
[Machine] She and the Prophet ﷺ did that, then they washed themselves from it for a day.
أَنَّهَا وَالنَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَعَلَا ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَا مِنْهُ يَوْمًا
[Machine] Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , informed her that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning.
أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَخْبَرَتْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
