[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to kiss her while he was fasting, then he remained silent for a while and then said, "Yes."  

أحمد:٢٤١١٠حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ أَسَمِعْتَ أَبَاكَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُقَبِّلُهَا وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَسَكَتَ عَنِّي هُنَيَّةً ثُمَّ قَالَ نَعَمْ  

ahmad:24111Sufyān > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. al-Qāsim from his father > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] I heard Aisha say, "I perfumed the Prophet of Allah ﷺ with these two hands of mine when he entered ihram (the state of consecration for Hajj pilgrimage), and I also perfumed him before he began the tawaf (circumambulation of the Kaaba)."  

أحمد:٢٤١١١حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ لِحُرْمِهِ حِينَ أَحْرَمَ وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ

[Machine] We went out with Aisha, and all we saw was the pilgrimage with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .  

أحمد:٢٤١١٢حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ خَرَجْنَا لَا نَرَى إِلَّا الْحَجَّ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[Machine] Narrated by Aisha, Safiyya had her menstrual cycle. I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he asked, "Did she hold us back?" I said, "No, she had already finished it." He said, "Then it's fine."  

أحمد:٢٤١١٣حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ حَاضَتْ صَفِيَّةُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَحَابِسَتُنَا هِيَ؟ قُلْتُ إِنَّهَا قَدْ أَفَاضَتْ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ فَلَا

[Machine] From the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "Any Muslim who is scratched by a thorn or anything above it, a portion of his sins will be forgiven."  

أحمد:٢٤١١٤حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُشَاكُ بِشَوْكَةٍفَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا حَطَّتْ مِنْ خَطِيئَتِهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a Jewish woman, "Indeed, you weep over her (Palestine) and indeed, it will be punished." And he recited (the verse), "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." [Surah Al-An'am: 164]  

أحمد:٢٤١١٥حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ حِينَ مَاتَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ إِنَّ بُكَاءَ الْحَيِّ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ عَذَابٌ لِلْمَيِّتِ فَأَتَيْتُ عَمْرَةَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهَا فَقَالَتْ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِنَّمَا

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِيَهُودِيَّةٍ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَإِنَّهَا لَتُعَذَّبُ وَقَرَأَتْ {وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى} [الأنعام 164]

[Machine] I asked Aisha, the mother of the Believers, "Tell me about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." She said, "His prayer during Ramadan and other times was thirteen units of prayer. This included the two units of the dawn prayer (Fajr)."

I said, "Tell me about his fasting." She said, "He used to fast until we would say, 'He is fasting.' And he would break his fast until we would say, 'He has broken his fast.' I never saw him fasting a whole month more than he did in Sha'ban. He used to fast all of it except for a little."  

أحمد:٢٤١١٦حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ

عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَقُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَيْ أُمَّهْ أَخْبِرِينِي عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَغَيْرِهِ سَوَاءً ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً فِيهَا رَكْعَتَا الْفَجْرِ قُلْتُ فَأَخْبِرِينِي عَنْ صِيَامِهِ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ قَدْ صَامَ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ قَدْ أَفْطَرَ وَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ صَامَ شَهْرًا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ صِيَامِهِ فِي شَعْبَانَ كَانَ يَصُومُهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Sufyan is a stingy man and I have nothing except what enters my house." He said, "Take what is sufficient for you and your children with goodness."  

أحمد:٢٤١١٧حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِعَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ هِنْدَاً قَالَتْ

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ رَجُلٌ شَحِيحٌ وَلَيْسَ لِي إِلَّا مَا يَدْخُلُ بَيْتِي قَالَ خُذِي مَا يَكْفِيكِ وَوَلَدَكِ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ overtook me, so I overtook him, and we continued like this until my flesh became weary. Then he overtook me once again and said, "This is the end of your journey."  

أحمد:٢٤١١٨حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

سَابَقَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَسَبَقْتُهُ فَلَبِثْنَا حَتَّى إِذَا رَهِقَنِي اللَّحْمُ سَابَقَنِي فَسَبَقَنِي فَقَالَ هَذِهِ بِتِيكِ  

ahmad:24119Muʿāwiyah > Abū Isḥāq > Hishām b. ʿUrwah > Abū Salamah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] "She was with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey while she was a young girl. He said to his companions, 'Go ahead,' so they went ahead. Then he said to her, 'Come closer,' and he mentioned the rest of the Hadith."  

أحمد:٢٤١١٩حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ وَهِيَ جَارِيَةٌ فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ تَقَدَّمُوا فَتَقَدَّمُوا ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا تَعَالَيْ أُسَابِقْكِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[Machine] According to Aisha, when the dinner is served and the prayer is established, start with dinner.  

أحمد:٢٤١٢٠حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ تَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِذَا وُضِعَ الْعَشَاءُ وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَابْدَءُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah from the higher side of Makkah.  

أحمد:٢٤١٢١حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ مِنْ أَعْلَى مَكَّةَ

[Machine] "Aisha covered the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in three white cotton garments. Abu Bakr asked me, 'What was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ shrouded in?' I replied, 'In three garments.' He said, 'Shroud me in these two garments and buy another garment.'"  

أحمد:٢٤١٢٢حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ كُفِّنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ سُحُولِيَّةٍ بِيضٍ وَقَالَ لِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي أَيِّ شَيْءٍ كُفِّنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟قُلْتُ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ قَالَ كَفِّنُونِي فِي ثَوْبَيَّ هَذَيْنِ وَاشْتَرُوا ثَوْبًا آخَرَ  

ahmad:24123Sufyān > Ibn ʿAjlān > Saʿīd b. Abū Saʿīd > Abū Salamah Tawaḍḍaʾ ʿAbd al-Raḥman ʿInd ʿĀʾishah > Yā ʿAbd al-Raḥman Asbigh al-Wuḍūʾ Faʾinnī

"Aishah saw 'Abdur-Rahman performing abluti0on, and she said: Perform ablution properly, for I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Woe to the Achilles' tendon because of Hell-fire.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 452)   

أحمد:٢٤١٢٣حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ تَوَضَّأَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ يَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَاقِيبِ مِنَ النَّارِ

[Machine] Narrated Aisha: We had a mat that we would spread during the day and roll it up at night. There was something hidden from me until Sufyan explained to me that the Muslims used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ . He said, "Perform deeds that are within your capacity, for Allah does not get tired until you get tired, and the most beloved actions to Allah are those performed regularly."  

أحمد:٢٤١٢٤حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ كَانَتْ لَنَا حَصِيرَةٌ نَبْسُطُهَا بِالنَّهَارِ ونَتَحَجَّرُهَا بِاللَّيْلِ خَفِيَ عَلَيَّ شَيْءٌ لَمْ أَفْهَمْهُ مِنْ سُفْيَانَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُسْلِمُونَ يُصَلُّونَ بِصَلَاتِهِ فَقَالَ اكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَاتُطِيقُونَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا وَكَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى صَلَاةً أَثْبَتَهَا وَكَانَ أَحَبُّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَيْهِ أَدْوَمَهُ  

ahmad:24125Sufyān > Yaḥyá from my cousin ʿAmrah / Hadhā Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > ʿAmrah

[Machine] From Aisha, it was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used to shorten the two units of prayer to the extent that I would wonder if he had recited Al-Fatiha or not.  

أحمد:٢٤١٢٥حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَخِي عَمْرَةَ يَعْنِي هَذَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُخَفِّفُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى أَقُولَ قَرَأَ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ أَمْ لَا ؟  

ahmad:24126Sufyān > Yaḥyá from my cousin ʿAmrah And Lā Adrī Hadhā or Ghayrah > ʿAmrah

[Machine] Aisha complained and her complaint persisted, so a man from the city came forward to treat her. The relatives of her brother accompanied him and asked about her pain. He said, "By Allah, you are referring to a woman who is possessed." He said, "This woman has been enchanted by a servant girl of hers." She said, "Yes, I wished for her death, so she cast a spell on me." He said, "And she was planning it. Sell her in the harshest of the Arabs and use the money to buy someone like her."  

أحمد:٢٤١٢٦حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَخِي عَمْرَةَ وَلَا أَدْرِي هَذَا أَوْ غَيْرَهُ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ قَالَتْ

اشْتَكَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَطَالَ شَكْوَاهَا فَقَدِمَ إِنْسَانٌ الْمَدِينَةَ يَتَطَبَّبُ فَذَهَبَ بَنُو أَخِيهَا يَسْأَلُونَهُ عَنْ وَجَعِهَا فَقَالَ وَاللهِ إِنَّكُمْ تَنْعَتُونَ نَعْتَ امْرَأَةٍ مَطْبُوبَةٍ قَالَ هَذِهِ امْرَأَةٌ مَسْحُورَةٌ سَحَرَتْهَا جَارِيَةٌ لَهَا قَالَتْ نَعَمْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ تَمُوتِي فَأُعْتَقَ قَالَ وَكَانَتْ مُدَبَّرَةً قَالَتْ بِيعُوهَا فِي أَشَدِّ الْعَرَبِ مَلَكَةً وَاجْعَلُوا ثَمَنَهَا فِي مِثْلِهَا

[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ, it is reported that there is no deceased person upon whom a community of people prays and they reach one hundred in number, except that they intercede for him."  

أحمد:٢٤١٢٧حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَضِيعِ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَا مِنْ مَيِّتٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ يَبْلُغُونَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِائَةً فَيَشْفَعُوا فِيهِ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ

[Machine] "Aisha gifted the Prophet ﷺ a young gazelle, and he rejected it as he was in the state of Ihram."  

أحمد:٢٤١٢٨حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْجَدَلِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَشِيقَةُ ظَبْيٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَرَدَّهَا

"The drink most beloved to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the sweet, cool drink." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1895)   

أحمد:٢٤١٢٩حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ كَانَ أَحَبُّ الشَّرَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْحُلْوَ الْبَارِدَ

[Machine] Narrated Alqamah: Alqamah and his companions once went for Hajj. Some of them talked about how a fasting person kisses and has relations. A man from them said, "I have acted upon this twice and made an intention to take my bow and hit you with it." He said, "Why do you not go to Aishah, and ask her?" They went to Aishah, and asked her about that. Aishah said, "The Messenger of Allah used to kiss and have relations while he was fasting." They said to Abu Shibl, "Ask her" He said, "I will not ask her while she is today." They asked her and she said, "He used to kiss and have relations while he was fasting."  

أحمد:٢٤١٣٠حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَخَرَجَ عَلْقَمَةُ وَأَصْحَابُهُ حُجَّاجًا فَذَكَرَ بَعْضُهُمُ الصَّائِمَ يُقَبِّلُ وَيُبَاشِرُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ قَدْ قَامَ سَنَتَيْنِ وَصَامَهُمَا هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آخُذَ قَوْسِي فَأَضْرِبَكَ بِهَا قَالَ فَكُفُّوا حَتَّى تَأْتُوا عَائِشَةَ فَدَخَلُوا عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَأَلُوهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ وَيُبَاشِرُ وَكَانَ أَمْلَكَكُمْ لِإِرْبِهِ قَالُوا يَا أَبَا شِبْلٍ سَلْهَا قَالَ لَا أَرْفُثُ عِنْدَهَا الْيَوْمَ فَسَأَلُوهَا فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يُقَبِّلُ وَيُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ  

ahmad:24131Sufyān > Ibn ʿUbayd b. Nisṭās / Abū Yaʿfūr > Muslim > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah Tadhkur

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to revive the night and wake up his family when the last ten days of Ramadan entered, and he would tighten his waistcloth. Sufyan said, and one of the scholars said.  

أحمد:٢٤١٣١حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نِسْطَاسٍ يَعْنِي أَبَا يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ تَذْكُرُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرُ أَحْيَا اللَّيْلَ وَأَيْقَظَ أَهْلَهُ وَشَدَّ الْمِئْزَرَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَوَاحِدَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ وَجَدَّ  

ahmad:24132Sufyān > Ṭalḥah b. Yaḥyá > ʿĀʾishah b. Ṭalḥah > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is it true that a child from the Ansar does not reach the age of a young bird from the birds of paradise?" He said, "Either that or something else, O Aisha. Allah has created paradise and created its dwellers, and He has created the fire and created its dwellers, and they are in the loins of their fathers."  

أحمد:٢٤١٣٢حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ صَبِيًّا لِلْأَنْصَارِ لَمْ يَبْلُغِ السِّنَّ عُصْفُورٌ مِنْ عَصَافِيرِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ قَالَ أَوْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ يَا عَائِشَةُ خَلَقَ اللهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَخَلَقَ لَهَا أَهْلًا وَخَلَقَ النَّارَ وَخَلَقَ لَهَا أَهْلًا وَهُمْ فِي أَصْلَابِ آبَائِهِمْ

[Machine] Aisha reported that when the Prophet ﷺ saw evil appearing in the land, Allah would send His punishment upon its people. She asked, "Would this punishment also affect the people who are obedient to Allah?" He replied, "Yes, but then they will be turned to the mercy of Allah, the Most High."  

أحمد:٢٤١٣٣حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ عَنْ مُنْذِرٍ عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ تَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِذَا ظَهَرَ السُّوءُ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ بِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ بَأْسَهُ قَالَتْ وَفِيهِمْ أَهْلُ طَاعَةِ اللهِ ﷻ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ ثُمَّ يَصِيرُونَ إِلَى رَحْمَةِ اللهِ تَعَالَى

[Machine] I saw the pleasant smile and Sufyan was reading. I heard Ataa bin al-Sa'ib from Ibrahim from al-Aswad from Aisha about the separation of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after three.

رَأَيْتُ وَبِيصَ الطِّيبِ وَقُرِئَ عَلَى سُفْيَانَ سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءَ بْنَ السَّائِبِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ

"Your children are part of the best of your earnings, so eat from what your children earn." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4450)

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he gifted a sheep once.

It was narrated that 'Ata' said: "Aishah said: 'The Messenger of Allah did not die until women had been made lawful to him.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3204)

[Machine] "Aisha narrated that a thief was brought to the Prophet ﷺ , and he ordered for the thief to be punished and his hand to be cut off. They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we did not expect him to be affected by this.' He said, 'If it had been Fatimah, I would have cut off her hand.' Then Sufyan said, 'I do not know how it is.'"

[Machine] About Aisha, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray while I was in front of him.

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Any woman who removes her clothing outside of her husband's home has violated the covering between her and her Lord."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: If anyone vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him, but if anyone vows to disobey Him, let him not disobey Him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3289)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَذَرَ أَنْ يُطِيعَ اللهَ ﷻ فَلْيُطِعْهُ وَمَنْ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَعْصِيَ اللهَ ﷻ فَلَا يَعْصِهِ

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said to me, "I saw you in a dream twice, and there was a man carrying you in a theft of silk, and he said, 'This is your wife.' So, I said, 'If this is from Allah, He will remove it.'"

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُرِيتُكِ فِي الْمَنَامِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَرَجُلٌ يَحْمِلُكِ فِي سَرَقَةٍ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ فَيَقُولُ هَذِهِ امْرَأَتُكَ فَأَقُولُ إِنْ يَكُ هَذَا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ ﷻ يُمْضِهِ

“Staying in Abtah is not Sunnah; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ only stayed there because it was more convenient for his departure.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3067)

إِنَّ نُزُولَ الْأَبْطَحِ لَيْسَ بِسُنَّةٍ إِنَّمَا نَزَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ أَسْمَحَ لِخُرُوجِهِ

[Machine] "When the Prophet ﷺ saw rain, he used to say: 'O Allah, let it be a beneficial rain.' I then asked Aisha, 'With what did the Prophet ﷺ start when he entered his house?' She replied: 'With the Siwak (tooth-stick).'"  

أحمد:٢٤١٤٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى الْمَطَرَ قَالَ اللهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ يَبْدَأُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ بَيْتَهُ قَالَتْ بِالسِّوَاكِ  

ahmad:24145ʿAlī b. Hāshim > al-Aʿmash > Ḥabīb > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , came and said, "I am experiencing menstruation." He said, "Stop praying during the days of your period, then purify yourself and perform ablution for every prayer, even if the blood has just dripped onto the mat."  

أحمد:٢٤١٤٥حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

أَتَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي اسْتَحَضْتُ فَقَالَ دَعِي الصَّلَاةَ أَيَّامَ حَيْضِكِ ثُمَّ اغْتَسِلِي وَتَوَضَّئِي عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ وَإِنْ قَطَرَ عَلَى الْحَصِيرِ

"The Messenger of Allah bought some food from a Jew on credit, and he gave him a shield of his as a pledge. " (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4650)  

أحمد:٢٤١٤٦حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

اشْتَرَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ طَعَامًا نَسِيئَةً فَأَعْطَاهُ دِرْعًا لَهُ رَهْنًا  

ahmad:24147Abū Muʿāwiyah And Yaʿlá > al-Aʿmash > Ibrāhīm > al-Aswad > ʿĀʾishah

I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasting during the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2439)

مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَائِمًا فِي الْعَشْرِ قَطُّ

'The best (most pure) food a man consumes is that which he has earned himself, and his child (and his child's wealth) is part of his earnings." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2137)  

أحمد:٢٤١٤٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَيَعْلَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَطْيَبَ مَا أَكَلَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ وَوَلَدُهُ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times, and she married another who entered upon her, but divorced her before having intercourse with her, whether she was lawful for the former husband. She said: The Prophet ﷺ replied: She is not lawful for the first (husband) until she tastes the honey of the other husband and he tastes her honey. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2309)   

أحمد:٢٤١٤٩حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَ أَبِي وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ يَعْلَى عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَتَزَوَّجَتْ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ فَدَخَلَ بِهَا ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُوَاقِعَهَا أَتَحِلُّ لِزَوْجِهَا الْأَوَّلِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَحِلُّ لِلْأَوَّلِ حَتَّى يَذُوقَ الْآخَرُ عُسَيْلَتَهَا وَتَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَتَهُ  

ahmad:24150Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Ibrāhīm > al-Aswad > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] Bareerah's husband was a free man. When she was freed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave her the choice to either stay with him or leave. She chose herself and said that her family wanted to sell her and demand loyalty. She mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ , and he said to buy her and free her, as loyalty belongs to the one who sets free.  

أحمد:٢٤١٥٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ زَوْجُ بَرِيرَةَ حُرًّا فَلَمَّا أُعْتِقَتْ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً عَتَقَتْ خَيَّرَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاخْتَارَتْ نَفْسَهَا قَالَتْ وَأَرَادَ أَهْلُهَا أَنْ يَبِيعُوهَا وَيَشْتَرِطُوا الْوَلَاءَ قَالَتْ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَلِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ اشْتَرِيهَا فَأَعْتِقِيهَا فَالْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ

Never did Messenger of Allah ﷺ eat to his fill the bread of wheat for three successive days until he had run the course of his life. (Using translation from Muslim 2970b)  

أحمد:٢٤١٥١حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

مَا شَبِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ تِبَاعًا مِنْ خُبْزِ بُرٍّ حَتَّى مَضَى لِسَبِيلِهِ

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah married her when she was nine and he died when she was eighteen years old. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3258)

تَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ وَمَاتَ عَنْهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ  

ahmad:24153Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Ibrāhīm > al-Aswad > ʿĀʾishah Balaghahā > Nās > Ūn In al-Ṣalāh Yaqṭaʿuhā al-Kalbuwālḥimār And al-Marʾah

[Machine] "Some people say that prayer is disrupted by dogs, donkeys, and women. She said, 'Don't I see that they have replaced us with dogs and donkeys? Perhaps I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying at night while I am lying on the bed between him and the Qibla, and then I have a need, so I slide out from the foot of the bed, disliking to face him directly.'"  

أحمد:٢٤١٥٣حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بَلَغَهَا

أَنَّ نَاسًا يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ يَقْطَعُهَا الْكَلْبُوَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ قَالَتْ أَلَا أَرَاهُمْ قَدْ عَدَلُونَا بِالْكِلَابِ وَالْحُمُرِ رُبَّمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَتَكُونُ لِي الْحَاجَةُ فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ قِبَلِ رِجْلِ السَّرِيرِ كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ أَسْتَقْبِلَهُ بِوَجْهِي

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to kiss and embrace while he was fasting, but he was the one of you who had most control over his desire. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2382)  

أحمد:٢٤١٥٤حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ وَالْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ وَيُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ أَمْلَكَكُمْ لِإِرْبِهِ

“On one occasion the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent sheep to the House, and he garlanded them.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3096)  

أحمد:٢٤١٥٥حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّةً غَنَمًا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَقَلَّدَهَا

A believer does not receive (the trouble) of running a thorn or more than that but Allah elevates him in rank or effaces his sins because of that. (Using translation from Muslim 2572b)   

أحمد:٢٤١٥٦حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ ﷻ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً  

ahmad:24157Ḥusayn > Shaybān > Manṣūr > Ibrāhīm > al-Aswad > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no believing person who is pricked with a thorn or anything higher than it, except that a rank is written for him and a sin is expiated for him due to it."  

أحمد:٢٤١٥٧حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ وَكُفِّرَ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ  

ahmad:24158Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Ibrāhīm > Hammām

"A guest came and stayed with 'Aishah, and she ordered that he be given a yellow blanket of hers. He had a nocturnal emission on it, and he felt too shy to send it back to send it back to her when it had the traces of that emission on it, so he dipped it in water and then sent it to her. 'Aishah said: 'Why did he spoil our garment? It would have been sufficient for him to scrape it off with his finger. I often scraped it (semen) from the garment of the Messenger of Allah with my finger.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 538)  

أحمد:٢٤١٥٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَمَّامٍ قَالَ

نَزَلَ بِعَائِشَةَ ضَيْفٌ فَأَمَرَتْ لَهُ بِمِلْحَفَةٍ لَهَا صَفْرَاءَ فَنَامَ فِيهَا فَاحْتَلَمَ فَاسْتَحَى أَنْ يُرْسِلَ بِهَا وَفِيهَا أَثَرُ الِاحْتِلَامِ قَالَ فَغَمَسَهَا فِي الْمَاءِ ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ بِهَا فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ لِمَ أَفْسَدَ عَلَيْنَا ثَوْبَنَا إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِيهِ أَنْ يَفْرُكَهُ بِأَصَابِعِهِ لَرُبَّمَا فَرَكْتُهُ مِنْ ثَوْبِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَصَابِعِي

[Machine] Narrated by Ummul Mu'minin (Mother of the Believers), she said: "I do not remember the narration of this from the narration of this. Aisha (the Prophet's wife) said: 'O Messenger of Allah, people go out for Hajj in pairs, while I go out for Hajj alone.' He said: 'Wait until you become pure, then proceed to perform the Ihram. Accompany from them whom you would like, then we throw [the pebbles] and say: 'I think He said such and such.' But it depends on your financial ability or according to your expense or as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said.'"  

أحمد:٢٤١٥٩حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَعَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ يُحَدِّثَانِ ذَاكَ

عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَا أَحْفَظُ حَدِيثَ هَذَا مِنْ حَدِيثِ هَذَا قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ بِنُسُكَيْنِ وَأَصْدُرُ بِنُسُكٍ وَاحِدٍ قَالَ انْتَظِرِي فَإِذَا طَهُرْتِ فَاخْرُجِي إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ فَأَهِلِّي مِنْهُ ثُمَّ الْقَيْنَا وَقَالَ مَرَّةً ثُمَّ وَافِينَا بِجَبَلِ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ كَذَا وَلَكِنَّهَا عَلَى قَدْرِ نَصَبِكِ أَوْ قَدْرِ نَفَقَتِكِ أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
