ahmad-zuhd:779 – ʿAbdullāh from my father > Ibn Abū Khālid > al-Bahī > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah ؒ

Those [believers] who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them. For those who did good among them and feared Allah is a great reward - (Using translation from Qurʾān 3:172)

الزهد لأحمد:٧٧٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الْبَهِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَحِمَهَا اللَّهُ قَالَ قَالَتْ

إِنْ كَانَ أَبُوكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا مِنْهُمْ وَاتَّقَوْا أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

quran:3:172 –

Those ˹believers˺ who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them. For those who did good among them and feared Allah is a great reward -

Those who (alladhīna, is the subject) responded to God and the Messenger, ˹to˺ his call to set out for battle: when Abū Sufyān and his companions wanted to resume ˹hostilities˺ they agreed with the Prophet (s) that the encounter would be at the ˹annual˺ market-fair of Badr a year from the date of Uhud; after the wounds had afflicted them, at Uhud — (the predicate of the subject ˹alladhīna˺ is ˹what follows˺) for all those who were virtuous, by obeying him, and feared, to disobey him, shall be a great wage, namely, Paradise.

القرآن:٣:١٧٢ –

الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ ۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا مِنْهُمْ وَاتَّقَوْا أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

{الذين} مبتدأ {استجابوا لله والرسول} دعاءه لهم بالخروج للقتال لما أراد أبو سفيان وأصحابه العود تواعدوا مع النبي ﷺ سوق بدر العام المقبل من يوم أحد {من بعد ما أصابهم القرح} بأحد وخبرُ المبتدأ {للذين أحسنوا منهم} بطاعته {واتقوا} مخالفته {أجر عظيم} هو الجنة.

muslim:2418a – Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah > Ibn Numayr And ʿAbdah > Hishām from his father

BY Allah, both fathers of yours are amongst those who have been men. tioned in this verse:" Those who responded to the call of Allah and the Messenger after the misfortune had fallen upon thein".

مسلم:٢٤١٨a – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَعَبْدَةُ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَتْ

لِي عَائِشَةُ أَبَوَاكَ وَاللَّهِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ

muslim:2418c – Abū Kurayb Muḥammad b. al-ʿAlāʾ > Wakīʿ > Ismāʿīl > al-Bahī > ʿUrwah

'Aisha said to me: Your fathers (Zubair and Abu Bakr) were amongst those about whom (it has been revealed):" Those who responded to the call of Allah and His Messenger after the misfortune had fallen upon them."

مسلم:٢٤١٨c – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنِ الْبَهِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ قَالَتْ

لِي عَائِشَةُ كَانَ أَبَوَاكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ

ابن ماجة:١٢٤ – حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ وَهَدِيَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَتْ

الحاكم:٤٣٢١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ يَا ابْنَ أُخْتِي أَمَا وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبَاكَ وَجَدَّكَ تَعْنِي أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَالزُّبَيْرَ لَمِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالَ

اللَّهُ ﷻ {الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ} [آل عمران 172]

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» صحيح

الحاكم:٥٥٦١ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْعَبْدِيُّ أَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الْبَهِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ قَالَتْ

لِي عَائِشَةُ «يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّ أَبَاكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحٌ»

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ

"عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ: قَالَتْ لِي عَائِشَةُ - ؓ - كَانَ أَبَوَاكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا للهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ القَرْحُ".
