"Prices became excessive during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so they said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Set prices for us!' So he said: 'Indeed Allah is Al-Musa'ir, Al-Qabid, Al-Basir, Ar-Razzaq. And I am hopeful that I meet my Lord and none of you are seeking (recompense from) me for an injustice involving blood or wealth.'"  

غَلاَ السِّعْرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سَعِّرْ لَنَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمُسَعِّرُ الْقَابِضُ الْبَاسِطُ الرَّزَّاقُ وَإِنِّي لأَرْجُو أَنْ أَلْقَى رَبِّي وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يَطْلُبُنِي بِمَظْلَمَةٍ فِي دَمٍ وَلاَ مَالٍ  

"Prices rose during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, prices have risen, so fix the prices for us.' He said: 'Indeed Allah is the Musa'ir, [1] the Qabid, (Restrainer) the Basit,[2] the Razzaq (Provider). And I am hopeful that I meet my Lord and none of you are seeking (recompense from) me for an injustice involving blood or wealth."

The people said: Messenger of Allah , prices have shot up, so fix prices for us. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah is the one Who fixes prices, Who withholds, gives lavishly and provides, and I hope that when I meet Allah, none of you will have any claim on me for an injustice regarding blood or property. The people said: Messenger of Allah , prices have shot up, so fix prices for us. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah is the one Who fixes prices, Who withholds, gives lavishly and provides, and I hope that when I meet Allah, none of you will have any claim on me for an injustice regarding blood or property. غَلَا السِّعْرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ غَلَا السِّعْرُ فَسَعِّرْ لَنَا سِعْرًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْخَالِقُ الْقَابِضُ الْبَاسِطُ الرَّازِقُ وَإِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا أَلْقَى اللَّهَ بِمَظْلِمَةٍ ظَلَمْتُهَا أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ فِي أَهْلٍ وَلَا مَالٍ»  

[Machine] They said, "O Messenger of Allah, give us a price." He said, "Indeed, Allah is the one who determines prices. He grants blessings and withholds. I hope to meet Allah and none of you will ask me for any injustice regarding wealth or property."  

قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ سَعِّرْ لَنَا قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ هُوَ الْمُسَعِّرُ الْقَابِضُ الْبَاسِطُ إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَلْقَى اللهَ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يَطْلُبُنِي بِمَظْلَمَةٍ فِي عَرَضٍ وَلَا مَالٍ»  

The people said: Messenger of Allah , prices have shot up, so fix prices for us. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah is the one Who fixes prices, Who withholds, gives lavishly and provides, and I hope that when I meet Allah, none of you will have any claim on me for an injustice regarding blood or property. "إِنَّ الله تعالى هو المُسَعِّرُ القابِضُ الباسطُ، وَإِنِّي لأَرْجُو أَنْ ألْقَى الله وليس أَحَدٌ منكم يطلبُنى بمظلِمةٍ في عِرْضٍ ولا مال ".  

("إِنِّى لأَرجو أَنْ أَلْقى ربى وليس أَحدٌ يطلبُنِى بِمَظْلمَة في دمٍ ولا مالٍ، وذلك أَنَّه قيلَ له: قَدْ غَلَا السِّعْرُ فسَعِّر لَنا، فقال: وذكره".  

" أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَن الحَسَنِ، قَالَ: غَلَا السِّعْرُ مَرَّةً بِالمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سَعِّرْ لَنَا، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الخَالِقُ الرَّزاقُ القَابِضُ البَاسِطُ المُسَعِّرُ، وَإنِّى لا أَرجو (*) أَنْ أَلْقَى اللَّهَ -تَعَالَى- لَا يَطْلُبُنِى أَحَدٌ بمظْلَمَة ظَلَمْتُهَا إيَّاهُ فِى أَهْلٍ وَلَا مَالٍ".
