Ai’shah wife the Prophet (SWAS) narrated we went out with the Messenger of Allah (SWAS) at the farewell pilgrimage. Some of us had put on Ihram for ʿUmrah and some both for Hajj and ʿUmrah, when the Messenger of Allah (SWAS) had put on Ihram for Hajj only.He who had put on Ihram for 'Umrah, put off Ihram after performing ʿUmrah and he who had worn Ihram both for Hajj and ʿUmrah or only for Hajj did not take it off till the tenth (of the month).

We set out with Messenger of Allah ﷺs (to Mecca) in the year of the Prophet's Last Hajj. Some of us had assumed Ihram for ʿUmra only, some for both Hajj and ʿUmra, and others for Hajj only. Allah's Apostle assumed Ihram for Hajj. So whoever had assumed Ihram for Hajj or for both Hajj and ʿUmra did not finish the Ihram till the day of sacrifice. (See Hadith No. 631, 636, and 639).

We set out with Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and some of us assumed the lhram for ʿUmra, some assumed it for Hajj, and some assumed it for both Hajj and ʿUmra. Messenger of Allah ﷺ assumed the Ihram for Hajj. So those who had assumed the Ihram for Hajj or for both Hajj and ʿUmra, did not finish their Ihram till the day of An-Nahr (i.e. slaughter of sacrifices). Malik also narrated as above, saying, "(We set out) with Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hajjat-ul-Wadaʿ...)" This hadith also reaches us through another chain.

We proceeded with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage. There were those amongst us who had put on Ihram for Umra, and those who had put on Ihram both for Hajj and" Umra, and those amongst us who had put on Ihram for Hajj (only), while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had put on Ihram for Hajj (only). He who put on Ihram for Umra put it off (after performing Umra), and he who had put on Ihram for Hajj or for both Hajj and 'Umra did not put it off before the day of sacrifice (10th of Dhu'l-Hijja).

Yahya related to me from Malik, from Abu'l-Aswad Muhammad ibn Abd ar-Rahman, fromUrwa ibn az-Zubayr, that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ said, "We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of the farewell hajj, and some of us went into ihram to do umra, some of us went into ihram to do hajj and umra, and some of us went into ihram to do hajj on its own. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went into ihram to do hajj on its own. Those who had gone into ihram to do umra came out of ihram (after doing umra). Those who had gone into ihram to do hajj (on its own), or to do both hajj and umra, did not come out of ihram until the day of the sacrifice."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Hajj, and as for those who performed Umrah, they did so when they circled the Kaaba, and Sa'fa and Marwa. And as for those who performed Hajj or both Hajj and Umrah, they did not perform any acts of worship until the day of sacrifice.

البيهقي:٨٨٠٠أخبرنا الشَّيْخُ اْلَأصِيلُ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُنْعِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْفَرَاوِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ بِنَيْسَابُورَ حَرَسَهَا اللهُ وَأَجَازَ لِي جَمِيعَ مَسْمُوعَاتِهِ وَمُجَازَاتِهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمَعَالِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَارِسِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ قَالَ وَأَجَازَ لِي جَمِيعَ مَسْمُوعَاتِهِ وَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَافِظُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْن الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَأَنْبَأَنَا غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَشْيَاخِنَا عَنْ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ طَاهِرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ قَالَ 8801 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ فِيمَا قَرَأَ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ وَعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ وَأَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْحَجِّ فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ أَوْ جَمَعَ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَلَمْ يَحِلُّوا حَتَّى كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ

We proceeded with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage. There were those amongst us who had put on Ihram for Umra, and those who had put on Ihram both for Hajj and" Umra, and those amongst us who had put on Ihram for Hajj (only), while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had put on Ihram for Hajj (only). He who put on Ihram for Umra put it off (after performing Umra), and he who had put on Ihram for Hajj or for both Hajj and 'Umra did not put it off before the day of sacrifice (10th of Dhu'l-Hijja). البيهقي:٨٧٣٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدَةَ التَّمِيمِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ التُّرْكُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ

خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ وَأَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْحَجِّ وَأَمَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَحَلَّ وَأَمَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ أَوْ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْحِجَّةَ وَالْعُمْرَةِ فَلَمْ يَحِلُّوا حَتَّى كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ
