[Machine] From the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , he said: When a man goes to a group of people and they say "mahraban (welcome)", then he will be welcomed by them until the day he meets his Lord. And when a man goes to a group of people and they say "qahțan (may you be bereft)", then he will be bereft on the Day of Resurrection.

الطبراني:٨١٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ

عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَتَى الرَّجُلُ الْقَوْمَ فَقَالُوا مَرْحَبًا فَمَرْحَبًا بِهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَى رَبَّهُ وَإِذَا أَتَى الرَّجُلُ الْقَوْمَ فَقَالُوا قَحْطًا فَقَحْطًا لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَتَى الرَّجُلُ الْقَوْمَ فَقَالُوا مَرْحَبًا فَمَرْحَبًا بِهِ يَوْمَ يَلْقَى رَبَّهُ وَإِذَا أَتَى الرَّجُلُ الْقَوْمَ فَقَالُوا لَهُ قَحْطًا فَقَحْطًا لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمِنْهَاعلى شرط مسلم

[Machine] I heard Abu Alaa say, "When a man comes to a people and they greet him with 'Marhaban', then 'Marhaban' to him on the day he meets his Lord. And when they see him and say to him 'Qahtan', then 'Qahtan' to him on the day he meets his Lord."

الزهد لأحمد:١٣٧٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْهَبِ قَالَ

"إذا أتى الرجلُ القوم فقالوا: مرحبًا فمرحبًا به يومَ القيامةِ، يومَ يلقى ربَّه، وإذا أتى الرجلُ القومَ فقالوا له: قحطًا، فقحطًا له يوم القيامة" .
