[Machine] I heard my aunt, who had performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Bilal gives the call to prayer at night, so keep eating and drinking until Bilal or Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer." And he used to raise his voice for this (the adhan) and lower it for that (the iqamah), so we would hold onto him just as you are until we eat our pre-dawn meal.

ahmad:27439ʿAffān > Shuʿbah > Khubayb from my aunt

[Machine] I heard my aunt saying, and she was arguing with the Prophet ﷺ . She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: 'If Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer at night, then eat and drink until Bilal gives the call to prayer, or if Bilal gives the call to prayer at night, then eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer.' He used to go up and down (between the two calls to prayer), so we would rely on that and say, 'As long as you are (the Messenger of Allah), we will continue until we have our pre-dawn meal.'"
