tabarani:19011ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > Abū Nuʿaym > Sufyān > Iyād b. Laqīṭ al-Sadūsī > Abū Rimthah

[Machine] I came with my father to the Prophet ﷺ , and he said, "Is this your son?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet said, "Do you love him? Surely, he will not benefit you, nor will you benefit him."  

الطبراني:١٩٠١١حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ السَّدُوسِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رِمْثَةَ قَالَ

جِئْتُ مَعَ أَبِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ ابْنُكَ هَذَا قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَتُحِبُّهُ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ

[Machine] He entered upon the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and with him was his son. He asked, "Is this your son?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Indeed, he does not bring you benefit, nor do you bring him benefit."
