[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the salvation of a believer?" He said, "Guard your tongue, let your house suffice you, and weep over your mistakes."

الطبراني:١٤٨٧٢ – حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا نَجَاةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ؟ فَقَالَ «احْفَظْ لِسَانَكَ وَلْيَسَعْكَ بَيْتُكَ وَابْكِ عَلَى خَطَئِكَ»

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What is the means to salvation?' He said: 'That you control your tongue, suffice yourself your house, and cry over your sins.'"

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan.

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا النَّجَاةُ قَالَ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ لِسَانَكَ وَلْيَسَعْكَ بَيْتُكَ وَابْكِ عَلَى خَطِيئَتِكَ

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ

"عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ الله: مَا النَّجَاةُ؟ قَالَ: امْلكْ عَلَيْكَ لِسَانَكَ، وَلْيَسَعْكَ بَيْتُكَ، وَابْكِ عَلَى خَطيئتكَ".
