[Machine] My aunt gave the grandmother of my grandfather a gift of ghee, honey, and cheese. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate from the ghee and honey, but left the cheese due to its impurity. Even if it had been permissible, it would not have been eaten on the table of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .

Ibn ʿAbbas said: Um Hufaid, Ibn ʿAbbas's aunt sent some dried yogurt (butter free), ghee (butter) and a mastigar to the Prophet ﷺ as a gift. The Prophet ﷺ ate the dried yogurt and butter but left the mastigar because he disliked it. Ibn ʿAbbas said, "The mastigar was eaten at the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and if it had been illegal to eat, it could not have been eaten at the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

The sister of my mother Umm Hufaid presented to Messenger of Allah ﷺ clarified butter (ghee), cheese and some lizards. He ate out of the clarified butter and cheese, but left the lizard finding no liking for it. But it was eaten on the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Had it been forbidden (haram), it could not be eaten on the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

he was asked about eating mastigures. He said: "Umm Hufaid gave some cooking fat, cottage cheese, and mastigures to the Messenger of Allah and the ate some of the cooking fat and cottage cheese, but he did not eat the mastigures because he found them distasteful. Ibn ʿAbbas said: Um Hufaid, Ibn ʿAbbas's aunt sent some dried yogurt (butter free), ghee (butter) and a mastigar to the Prophet ﷺ as a gift. The Prophet ﷺ ate the dried yogurt and butter but left the mastigar because he disliked it. Ibn ʿAbbas said, "The mastigar was eaten at the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and if it had been illegal to eat, it could not have been eaten at the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ." البيهقي:١٩٤١٧أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مَحْمَوَيْهِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَلَانِسِيُّ ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا آدَمُ ثنا شُعْبَةُ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ

أَهْدَتْ أُمُّ حُفَيْدٍ خَالَةُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَقِطًا وَسَمْنًا وَأَضُبًّا فَأَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْأَقِطِ وَالسَّمْنِ وَتَرَكَ الْأَضُبَّ تَقَذُّرًا قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَأُكِلَ عَلَى مَائِدَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا مَا أُكِلَ عَلَى مَائِدَتِهِ
