[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated that Abdul Aziz ibn Muhammad narrated from Amr ibn Abi Amr ibn Umar that Ikrima narrated from Ibn Abbas that a man owed his adversary ten dinars. The man said, "By Allah, I have no money to pay you today." The adversary replied, "By Allah, I will not leave you until you pay me or bring someone who will pay on your behalf." The man said, "By Allah, I have no one to borrow from and I cannot find anyone to pay for me." He then took him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this man owes me and I have been patient with him for a month, but he refuses to pay or bring someone to pay on his behalf." The man said, "By Allah, I cannot find anyone to pay for me and I have no money to pay today." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Have you been waiting for him for only a month?" The man replied, "Yes." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then I will pay on his behalf." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fulfilled the debt for him, and when the man returned with the amount he owed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Where did you get this gold from?" The man replied, "From a mine." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Go, we have no need for it, and it contains no goodness." Thus, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ settled the debt for him.

[Machine] Narrated by Abdullah bin Muslima Al-Qa'nabi, narrated by Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad, on the authority of Amr bin Abi Amr, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, that a man had a dispute with his opponent for ten dinars, and he said, "By Allah, I will not let you go until you settle me or bring me a camel." The Prophet ﷺ took the responsibility and brought him the amount he had promised. The Prophet ﷺ then asked him, "Where did you get this gold from?" He replied, "From a mine." The Prophet ﷺ said, "We are not in need of it; it does not contain any goodness." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ settled the matter on his behalf.

[Machine] Narrated to us Al-Qanabi, narrated to us Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad, from Amr bin Abi Amr, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, that a man had a dispute with his opponent over ten silver coins. The man said to him, "By Allah, I do not currently have the means to pay you today." The opponent said, "By Allah, I will not leave you until you settle the debt or bring someone who will pay on your behalf." The man said, "By Allah, I do not have the means to settle the debt, nor can I find anyone to pay on my behalf." He then brought the case to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this man is insisting and I have given him a one-month extension, but he refuses to wait until I can settle the debt or find someone to pay on my behalf." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Do you expect him to wait for only one month?" The man replied, "No." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then I will bear this debt on your behalf." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took responsibility for the debt and the man went and brought the agreed amount. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Where did you get this gold from?" The man replied, "From a mine." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Go, we have no need for it as it does not contain any goodness." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ settled the debt on behalf of the man.

[Machine] "By Allah, I will not leave you until you give me or provide me with someone who will bear it for me." He said, "By Allah, I do not have any wealth, and I do not find anyone who will bear it for me." So, he went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is my obligation and I have been expecting it for one month, but he refuses until I fulfill it or bring someone who will bear it for me." So, I said, "By Allah, I do not find anyone who will bear it, and I do not have the means to fulfill it today." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Do you expect it for only one month?" He said, "No." He said, "Then I will bear it for you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it and went. He brought him the amount he promised. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Where did you get this gold?" He said, "From a mine." He said, "Go, we have no need for it. It is not good." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fulfilled it for him. In this, it is like an indication that the debt remains with him even after someone takes it until the extent of the waiting time is confirmed. Then, he voluntarily took on the debt and refrained from dealing with the wealth from the mine. Allah knows best. And it has been narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "The soul of the believer is suspended by his debt until it is fulfilled."
