“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Whoever comes to his Muslim brother and visits him (when he is sick), he is walking among the harvest of Paradise until he sits down, and when he sits down he is covered with mercy. If it is morning, seventy thousand angels will send blessing upon him until evening, and if it is evening, seventy thousand angels will send blessing upon him until morning.’”  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَتَى أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ عَائِدًا مَشَى فِي خِرَافَةِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ فَإِذَا جَلَسَ غَمَرَتْهُ الرَّحْمَةُ فَإِنْ كَانَ غُدْوَةً صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَسَاءً صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ  

Abu Moosa came to al-Hasan bin ʿAli to visit him when he was sick. ʿAli ؓ said: Have you come to visit him or to gloat? He said: No. I have come to visit him because he is sick. ʿAli ؓ said to him: Since you have come to visit him because he is sick, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “If a man visits his Muslim brother when he is sick, he is walking amongst the fruits of Paradise until he sits down, and when he sits down he is covered with mercy. If it is morning, seventy thousand angels will send blessings upon him until evening, and if it is evening, seventy thousand angels will send blessings upon him until morning.ʿ  

لَهُ عَلِيٌّ أَعَائِدًا جِئْتَ أَمْ شَامِتًا؟ قَالَ لَا بَلْ عَائِدًا قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِيٌّ إِنْ كُنْتَ جِئْتَ عَائِدًا فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا عَادَ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ مَشَى فِي خِرَافَةِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ فَإِذَا جَلَسَ غَمَرَتْهُ الرَّحْمَةُ فَإِنْ كَانَ غُدْوَةً صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَسَاءً صَلَّىعَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ  

Abu Moosa came to al-Hasan bin ʿAli to visit him when he was sick. ʿAli ؓ said: Have you come to visit him or to gloat? لَهُ عَلِيٌّ أَجِئْتَ عَائِدًا أَمْ شَامِتًا؟ فَقَالَ بَلْ جِئْتَ عَائِدًا فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ إِنْ جِئْتَ عَائِدًا فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ أَتَى أَخَاهُ عَائِدًا فَهُوَ فِي خُرَافَةِ الْجَنَّةِ فَإِذَا جَلَسَ غَمَرَتْهُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَإِنْ كَانَ غُدْوَةً صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُمْسِيًا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ»

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ عَادَ أَخَاهُ مَشَى فِي خَرَافَةِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ فَإِذَا جَلَسَ غَمَرَتْهُ الرَّحْمَةُ فَإِنْ كَانَ غُدْوَةً صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلِكٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَسَاءً صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ»  

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: When a man visits his brother, he walks until he sits. Then, when he sits, mercy envelops him. If it is in the morning, 70,000 angels send blessings upon him until evening, and if it is in the evening, 70,000 angels send blessings upon him until morning. Shu'bah narrated this from Hukm, from Abdullah bin Nafi', from Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, once as a hadith with a connected chain, and once as a hadith with a suspended chain."  

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَتَى الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ يَعُودُهُ مَشَى فِي خُرَافَةِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ فَإِذَا جَلَسَ غَمَرَتْهُ الرَّحْمَةُ فَإِنْ كَانَ غُدْوَةً صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَشِيًّا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ وَخَالَفَهُ شُعْبَةُ فَرَوَاهُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ مَرَّةً مَرْفُوعًا وَمَرَّةً مَوْقُوفًا

"إذا عادَ الرَّجُلُ أخاهُ المُسْلِمَ مَشَى في خْرافة الجنَّةِ حتى يَجْلسَ فإذا جَلَسَ غَمرتْهُ الرَّحمةُ، فإنْ كان غُدْوةً صلَّى عليه سَبْعُون أَلَفَ مَلَكٍ حتَّى يُمْسى، وإنْ كان مَساءً صلَّى عليه سبعونَ ألْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ".  

"مَنْ أَتَى أَخَاهُ المُسْلمَ عَائِدًا مَشَى في خِرَافَةِ الجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ، فَإِذَا جَلَسَ غَمَرَتْهُ الرَّحْمَةُ، فَإِنْ كَانَ غُدْوَةً صَلَّى عَلَيهِ أَلف مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِى وَإِنْ كَانَ مَسَاءً صَلَّى عَلَيهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ".
