"عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ أَبَوَيهِ اخْتَصَمَا فِيهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَحَدُهُمَا مُسْلِمٌ، والآخَرُ كَافِرٌ، فَخيرَهُ، فَرَدَّهُ إِلَى الْكَافِرِ فَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِهِ فَتَوَجَّهَ إِلَى المسلِمِ، فَقَضَى لَهُ بِهِ".

his parents referred their dispute to the Prophet ﷺ, and one of them was a disbeliever. He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: “O Allah, guide him,” and he turned towards the Muslim, and he ruled that he should go with that parent.

[Machine] That his parents had a dispute about him, one of them being a Muslim and the other being a disbeliever, so he went to the disbeliever and the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, guide him," so he turned to the Muslim and ruled in his favor. 6355 Abu Bakr ibn Ali informed me, he said: Abdel Alaa ibn Hammad Al-Nursi informed us: Hammad ibn Salamah informed us: from Uthman Al-Batti: from Abdul Hamid ibn Salamah: from his father: that a man embraced Islam and his wife did not, so he was sent.
