Verity the most grievously tormented people on the Day of Resurrection would be the painters of pictures. Ashajj (one of the narrators) in the hadith narrated by him did not make mention of the word" verity".

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الأَشَجُّ إِنَّ

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Among the people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ مِنْ أَشَدِّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ الْمُصَوِّرِينَ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The severest punishment on the Day of Judgment is for a man who killed a prophet or was killed by a prophet, an misguided imam, or a hypocritical actor."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رَجُلٌ قَتَلَهُ نَبِيٌّ أَوْ قَتَلَ نَبِيًّا وَإِمَامُ ضَلَالَةٍ وَمُمَثِّلٌ مِنَ الْمُمَثِّلِينَ

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Among the people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5364)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ مِنْ أَشَدِّ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُصَوِّرِينَ وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ أَشَدِّ النَّاسِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The most severe of people in punishment on the Day of Resurrection are the image-makers."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection will be for those who kill a prophet or are killed by a prophet, and the unjust imam, and those who make images."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَبِيًّا أَوْ قَتَلَهُ نَبِيٌّ وَإِمَامٌ جَائِرٌ وَهَؤُلَاءِ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ»
