Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the people to travel to a hostile country carrying (copies of) the Qur'an.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that one should travel to the land of the enemy taking the Qur'an with him.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ

It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid that one should travel to the land of the enemy taking the Qur'an (with him) lest it should fall into the hands of the enemy.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَنْهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

Do not take the Qur'an on a journey with you, for I am afraid lost it should fall into the hands of the enemy. Ayyub (one of the narrators in the chain of transmitters) said: The enemy may seize it and may quarrel with you over it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تُسَافِرُوا بِالْقُرْآنِ فَإِنِّي لاَ آمَنُ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ فَقَدْ نَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ وَخَاصَمُوكُمْ بِهِ

‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umar said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ prohibited to travel with a copy of the Qur’an to the enemy territory. The narrator Malik said “(It is) I think lest the enemy should take it.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ قَالَ مَالِكٌ أُرَاهُ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till they were clearly in good condition, forbidding it both to the seller and to the buyer.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade traveling with the Qur’an to the land of the enemy, lest the enemy gets hold of it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid traveling with the Qur’an to the land of the enemy, lest the enemy gets hold of it.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَنْهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, who said, "The Quran is more beloved to Allah than the heavens and the earth, and all that is within them."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «الْقُرْآنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not travel with the Quran, as I fear that the enemy may tamper with it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُسَافِرُوا بِالْقُرْآنِ فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling produce until its goodness becomes apparent. He prohibited both the seller and the buyer from doing so. He also prohibited traveling with the Quran to the land of the enemy, fearing that the enemy might capture it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ وَنَهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not travel with the Quran, for I fear that the enemy may get hold of it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُسَافِرُوا بِالْقُرْآنِ فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibit taking the Quran with you when traveling to enemy territory.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْمُصْحَفِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade traveling with the Qur’an to the land of the enemy, lest the enemy gets hold of it. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2879)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade travelling with a Qur'an in the land of the enemy. Malik commented, "That is out of fear that the enemy will get hold of it."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruit until it had started to ripen. He forbade the transaction to both buyer and seller.

‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umar said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ prohibited to travel with a copy of the Qur’an to the enemy territory. The narrator Malik said “(It is) I think lest the enemy should take it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2610)

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يُنْهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ يُخَافُ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade carrying the Quran to the land of the enemy, for fear that it might fall into their hands.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

"لا تُسَافِرُوا بِالقُرآنِ، فَإِنِّي لا آمَنُ أَنْ يَنَالهُ العَدُوُّ".

"لا تُسَافِرُوا بِالقُرآنِ إِلَى أرْضِ العَدُوِّ".

"نَهَى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بالْمَصَاحف إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالُوهَا".

"نَهَى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْمَصَاحِفِ إلَى أَرْضِ الشِّرْكِ، مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُتَنَاوَلَ مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ".
