[Machine] I went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Extend your hand, oh Prophet, so that I may pledge allegiance to you upon Islam." He replied, "Wait a moment, oh Dhirar." Then I said, "I have abandoned the wine jars and the strumming of the lute, and I give up drinking wine to the duration of prayer. I have smeared ink in the darkness, and I bear arms against the polytheists in battle. Oh Lord, do not let my plea be in vain, for I have sold my wealth and my family for exchange." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Your plea will not be in vain, oh Dhirar."

[Machine] That Dhirar ibn al-Azwar, when he accepted Islam, he went to the Prophet ﷺ and began to say: [Al-Bahr al-Mutaqarib] "I have left gambling and the playing of the stringed instrument, and wine as a form of worship and entreaty. I have also forsaken writing my beloved in the darkness of ink, and exerting effort in fighting against the Muslims." Jamilah then said: "O Lord, do not let my bargain go to waste, as you have caused me to lose my family and wealth in return." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: "Your bargain has not been in vain, O Dhirar."

[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said to him, "Extend your hand so that I may pledge allegiance to you on Islam." So I pledged allegiance to him. Then I recited:

I have abandoned carousing, the playing of the qayn (a musical instrument), and wine-drinking as a religious observance

I also abandoned incantations and divination, and scribing in ambergris

And I bear the burden of fighting for the sake of Muslims

O Lord, may my loyalty not be disappointed for I have pledged the allegiance of my family and wealth out of devotion

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Your allegiance has not been in vain, O Dhirar."
