I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "By Allah! I seek forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً».

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is ˹at times˺ a sort of shade upon my heart, and I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times a day."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي وَإِنِّي لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ۔»

the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: 'I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him one hundred times each day.'

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنِّي لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ

his grandfather said: "The Messenger of Allah (saas) said: 'I seek the forgivenenss of Allah and repent to Him seventy times each day.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنِّي لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: Indeed, I seek forgiveness from Allah more than seventy times in a day, and I repent to Him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "O people, repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness, for I repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness a hundred times or more every day."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى اللهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ إِلَى اللهِ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُهُ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, I repent to Allah in every day a hundred times." Abdullah (meaning Mu'adh ibn Jabal) said: "Except for Mughira ibn Abi Hurayrah."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي لَأَتُوبُ إِلَى اللهِ ﷻ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي مُغِيرَةَ بْنَ أَبِي الْحُرّ

the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: 'I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him one hundred times each day.' (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3815)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً»

[AI] I have never seen anyone say "I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him" more than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .

مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَكْثَرَ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: My heart is invaded by unmindfulness, and I ask Allah's pardon a hundred times in the day. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1515)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي وَإِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قال إني لأستغفر الله كل يوم مِئَة مرة

[AI] He tells us about Al-Aghar, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ . He heard the Prophet saying, "Verily, I seek forgiveness from Allah one hundred times a day."

يُحَدِّثُنَا عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ يَقُولُ «إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "O people, repent to your Lord! By Allah, I indeed repent to my Lord a hundred times a day."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ فَوَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَتُوبُ إِلَى رَبِّي فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "O people, repent to Allah and seek forgiveness, for indeed I repent to Him a hundred times every day."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى اللهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying: "Indeed, there are times when my heart becomes occupied until I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times every day."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي حَتَّى أَسْتَغْفِرَ اللهَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي فَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

[AI] I sat with a man from the immigrants whose humility impressed me, and I heard him saying, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, 'O people, repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness, for indeed I repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness one hundred times a day or more than one hundred times.'"

جَلَسْتُ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ يُعْجِبُنِي تَوَاضُعُهُ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى اللهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ إِلَى اللهِ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ»

[AI] Hudhayfah said, "I complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the punishment of my tongue, and he said, 'Where are you with seeking forgiveness? Verily, I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times every day.'"

قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ شَكَوْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ذَرَبُ لِسَانِي فَقَالَ «أَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنَ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ؟ إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

[AI] I have never seen anyone say more "I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him" than the Messenger of Allah.

("أَين أَنتَ عن الاستغفارِ يا حذيفةُ، إِنى أَسْتَغفِرُ الله في كل يومٍ مائة مرةٍ".

"إِنَّهُ ليُغانُ على قلبى، وإِنى لأَستغفرُ اللَّه في اليومِ مائة مرَّة ".

"إِنِّى لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّه في الْيومِ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً".

"إِنِّى لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّه وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ في الْيَوْم سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً" .

"إنِّى لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّه وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ في الْيَوْمَ مِائَةَ مَرَةٍ".

"إِنِّى لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّه في الْيَوْمِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ مرّةً وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ".

"إِنِّى لأَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ في الْيَوْمَ سَبْعِينَ مرَّةً".

"أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلى رَبِّكُم فوَاللهِ إِنِّي لأَتُوبُ إِلى رَبِّي في الْيَوْم مِائَة مَرَّة".

"أَينَ أَنْتَ عن الاستَغْفَار يا حُذَيفَةُ؟ إِنِّي لأَسْتَغْفِر اللهَ كُلَّ يومٍ مِائَة مَرَّة" .

"فَأَينَ أَنْتَ مِنَ الاسْتِغْفَارِ يَا حُذَيفَةُ؛ إِنِّي لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ في الْيَوْمِ وَاللَّيلَةِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ".

"وَاللهِ إني لأَسْتَغْفِرُ الله وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ أكثَرَ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَةً".

"يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ: تُوبُوا إِلَى ربكم، فَوَاللهِ إِنِّى لأتُوبُ إِلَى اللهِ فِى اليَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ".

"يَا أيُّهَا النَّاسُ: استَغْفِرُوا اللهَ وَتُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ، فَإِنِّى أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَأتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِى اليَوْم -أوْ كُلَّ (*) - مِائَةَ مَرَّة، أوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّة".

" قَالَ: شَكَوْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ الله ﷺ ذَرَبَ لِسَانِى، قَالَ: أَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنَ الاسْتِغْفَارِ؟ إِنِّى لأَسْتَغْفِرُ الله فِى كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ".

"عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: مَا رَأَيْتُ بَعْدَ رَسُول الله ﷺ أَكْثَرَ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ الله وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ، مِنْ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ ".
