The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever killed a person having a treaty with the Muslims, shall not smell the smell of Paradise though its smell is perceived from a distance of forty years."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهَدًا لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا تُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever killed a Mu'ahid (a person who is granted the pledge of protection by the Muslims) shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise though its fragrance can be smelt at a distance of forty years (of traveling).

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدًا لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا يُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا

that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed, whoever kills a Mu'ahid that has a covenant from Allah and a covenant from His Messenger ﷺ, then he has violated the covenant with Allah and the covenant of His Messenger, so he shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise; even though its fragrance can be sensed from the distance of seventy autumns."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَلاَ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهِدَةً لَهُ ذِمَّةُ اللَّهِ وَذِمَّةُ رَسُولِهِ فَقَدْ أَخْفَرَ بِذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ فَلاَ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ

"Whoever kills a man from among Ahl Adh-Dhimmah.[2] he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and its fragrance may be detected from a distance of seventy years."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَتَلَ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever kills a person from among Ahl Adh-Dhimmah, he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and its fragrance may be detected from a distance of forty years."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَ قَتِيلاً مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا

"No woman asks for divorce when it is not absolutely necessary, but she will never smell the fragrance of paradise, although its fragrance can be detected from a distance of forty years' travel. "

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ زَوْجَهَا الطَّلاَقَ فِي غَيْرِ كُنْهِهِ فَتَجِدَ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا

“Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance may be detected from a distance of five hundred years.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنِ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ خَمْسِمِائَةِ عَامٍ

“Whoever kills a Mu'ahid, will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance may be detected from a distance of forty years.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهِدًا لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا

“Whoever kills a Mu'ahid who has the protection of Allah and the protection of his Messenger, will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance may be detected from a distance of Seventy years.”

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father, the aroma of Paradise will not reach him and its fragrance can be found at a distance of seventy years."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ فَلَنْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَرِيحُهَا يُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا

[AI] "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: 'There will be a group of people who will have a covenant. Whoever kills one of them will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance can be detected from a distance of seventy years.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَيَكُونُ قَوْمٌ لَهُمْ عَهْدٌ فَمَنْ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا

"Whoever kills a man from among Ahl Adh-Dhimmah.[2] he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and its fragrance may be detected from a distance of seventy years." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4749)

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever unlawfully takes the life of a person who is under a covenant of protection, will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and indeed its fragrance can be detected from a distance of five hundred years."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدَةً بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهَا لَمْ يَجِدْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills a person who has a treaty with the Muslims, he will not smell the fragrance of paradise, even though its fragrance can be smelled from a distance of a journey of forty years."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدَةً بِغَيْرِحَقِّهَا لَمْ يَجِدْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ

[AI] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ that he said, 'There will be a people with whom there is a covenant. Whoever kills one of them will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance can be sensed from a distance of seventy years.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَتَلَ قَتِيلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَرَحْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ كَذَا وَكَذَا»

“Whoever kills a Mu'ahid who has the protection of Allah and the protection of his Messenger, will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance may be detected from a distance of Seventy years.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2687)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَلَا مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهَدًا لَهُ ذِمَّةُ اللَّهِ وَذِمَّةُ رَسُولِهِ فَقَدْ خَفَرَ ذِمَّةَ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَرَحْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا» على شرط مسلم

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever kills a person who has a treaty with the Muslims unjustly, will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance can be smelt at a distance of forty years."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدَةً بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهَا لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهِدًا بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّهُ لَيُوجَدُ رِيحُهَا مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills a person who has a covenant of protection (non-Muslim citizen), will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance can be detected from a distance of so and so."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَ قَتِيلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا يُوجَدُ مِنْ كَذَا وَكَذَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills a person who has made a covenant of peace (mu'ahid) unjustly, he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and indeed its fragrance can be found from a distance of forty years."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهَدًا بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّهُ لَيُوجَدُ رِيحُهَا مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا

"أَلَا منْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعاهدةً لَهُ ذِمَّةُ اللَّه وذمَّةُ رسُولِهِ فَقَدْ (أَحْقَر) بذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ فَلَا يرِحُ رائِحة الجنَّةِ وإِنَّ ريحَها لَيُوجدُ مِنْ مسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ خَريفًا ".

"تُرَاحُ رَائِحةُ الجَنَّةِ من مَسيرَةِ خمسِمِائةِ سنةٍ, وَلا يَجِدُ رِيحَهَا مَنَّانٌ بِعَمَلِهِ، وَلَا عَاقٌ، ولا مُدْمِنُ خَمْرٍ".

"من ادُّعِي إِلَى غَير أَبِيهِ أَوْ تَولَّى غَير مَوالِيهِ لَمْ يُرحَ رائِحةَ الْجنَّةِ، وَإنَّ ريحها يُوجَد مِن مسِيرَة سبْعِين عَامًا".

"مَن اسْتَرْعَى رَعِيَّةً فَلمْ يُحِطْهم بِنَصِيحةٍ، لم يُرحَ رِيح الجَنَّةِ، وَإنَّ ريحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ من مَسِيرَةِ مِائَةِ عامٍ".

"مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الأحَادِيثَ لِيُحَدِّث النَّاسَ لَمْ يَرح رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ من مَسِيرَةِ خَمسِمِائَة عَامٍ".

"مَنْ قَتَلَ قَتِيلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ ريحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ".

"مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدَةً بِغَيرِ حَقِّهَا لَمْ يَرحْ رَائِحَةَ الجَنَّةِ، وإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِن مَسِيرَةِ خَمْسِمِائَةِ عَامٍ".

"مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدَةً بِغَيرِ حَقِّهَا، لَمْ يرحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ لَيُوجَدُ مِن مَسِيرَةِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ".

"مَنْ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْل الذمَّة، لَمْ يجِدْ ريح الْجنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ من مسيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا".

"مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهَدًا لَمْ يَرح رَائحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا".

"لا تَسْألُ امْرَأةٌ زَوْجَهَا الطَّلاقَ مِنْ غَيرِ كُنْهِهِ فَتَجدَ رِيحَ الجَنَّة، وَإنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا".
