He complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a pain he had been feeling in his body since he embraced Islam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Place your hand on the part of your body that hurts and say:

"bismillāhi", three times, and say, "aʿūdhu billāhi wa-qudratihī min sharri mā ajidu wa-uḥādhiru", seven times

("In the name of Allah" three times, then say, "I seek refuge with Allah and His power from the evil of what I find and fear.", seven times.

أَنَّهُ شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَجَعًا يَجِدُهُ فِي جَسَدِهِ مُنْذُ أَسْلَمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ضَعْ يَدَكَ عَلَى الَّذِي تَأَلَّمَ مِنْ جَسَدِكَ وَقُلْ:

(بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ ثَلاَثًا وَقُلْ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ)

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you experiences pain, let him place his hand where he feels the pain, and then say 'I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I am experiencing' seven times."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَلَمًا فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ حَيْثُ يَجِدُ أَلَمَهُ ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ

Place your hand at the place where you feel pain in your body and say Bismillah (in the name of Allah) three times and seven times A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru (I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear). [AI] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was in pain, so he said, "Place your right hand on the affected area and say 'In the name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I am experiencing' seven times." So I did as he instructed and Allah (glory be to Him) sufficed me.

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَبِي وَجَعٌ فَقَالَ اجْعَلْ يَدَكَ الْيُمْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قُلْ بِسْمِ اللهِ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ فَفَعَلْتُ فَكَفَانِي اللهُ ﷻ

[AI] He complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of a pain, so he said, "Whoever feels pain, let him place his right hand on it and mention the name of Allah three times, and let him say, 'I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil that I feel, and I seek protection seven times."

أَنَّهُ شَكَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَمًا فَقَالَ أَيُّكُمْ وَجَدَ أَلَمًا فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَلْيَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَلْيَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you experiences pain, let him place his hand where he feels the pain and say, 'I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I am experiencing,' seven times."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَلَمًا فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ حَيْثُ يَجِدُ أَلَمَهُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ

"إِذَا اشتكى أحدُكمْ فليَضعْ يدَه حيثُ يجدُ ألمَهُ ثمَّ ليَقُلْ: أعوذُ بعزةِ اللهِ وقدرتِه من شر ما أجدُ وأحاذر سَبعًا" .

"إذَا وجدَ أحدُكُمْ ألمًا فليضعْ يَدَهُ حيثُ يجدُ ألمَهُ، وليقُلْ سَبع مراتٍ: أعوذ بعزَّة الله وقدرتِه على كلّ شيءِ من شرِّ ما أجدُ".

"امْسَحْه بيمينك وقُل: بسم الله أَعُوذُ بعزَّة اللهِ وقُدْرَتِه. من شَرِّ ما أَجدُ. سَبعَ مراتٍ".

"أَيُّكُمْ وَجَدَ أَلَمًا فَليَضعْ يَدَهُ اليُمْنى عَلَيه، وَليذْكُر اسْمَ الله ثَلاثَ مرَّات وليَقلْ: أَعُوذ بعِزة اللهِ وَقُدرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أجدُ وأُحَاذرُ سَبع مَرَّات ".

"ضعْ يمِينكَ علَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي تَشْتَكِى، فَافسَح بِهَا سَبْعَ مرَّاتٍ وقل: أعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ الله وَقُدْرتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ - في كُلِّ مَسْحَة".
