On the day of Badr, Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us, "When the enemy comes near to you, shoot at them but use your arrows sparingly (so that your arrows should not be wasted).  

لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ إِذَا أَكْثَبُوكُمْ فَارْمُوهُمْ وَاسْتَبْقُوا نَبْلَكُمْ  

On the day (of the battle) of Badr when we stood in rows against (the army of) Quraish and they stood in rows against us, the Prophet ﷺ said, "When they do come near you, throw arrows at them."  

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ حِينَ صَفَفْنَا لِقُرَيْشٍ وَصَفُّوا لَنَا إِذَا أَكْثَبُوكُمْ فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالنَّبْلِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When they deceive you, punish them with nobility."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَكْثَبُوكُمْ فَارْمُوهُمْ بِالنَّبْلِ»  

On the day of Badr, Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us, "When the enemy comes near to you, shoot at them but use your arrows sparingly (so that your arrows should not be wasted). (Using translation from Bukhārī 3984)   

"إذا أكْثَبُوكُمْ فارمُوهم بالنَّبْلِ، واسْتَبقُوا نَبْلَكُم"  

The Prophet ﷺ said at the battle of Badr: When they come near you shoot arrows at them; and do not draw swords at them until they come near you. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2664)   

"إذا أَكْثبوكم فارمُوهُمْ بالنَّبل ولا تسلُّوا السُّيوفَ حتى يغشَوْكم".
