The Prophet ﷺ said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence, and tell others the stories of Bani Israel (which have been taught to you), for it is not sinful to do so. And whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the (Hell) Fire."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً وَحَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلاَ حَرَجَ وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever lies upon me intentionally, then let him take his seat in the Fire."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

I arrived at the Masjid and al-Mughīrah, the Amīr of al-Kūfah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Indeed a lie upon me is not like a lie upon anyone else, for whoever lies upon me intentionally, then he shall take his seat in the Fire."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ كَذِبًا عَلَىَّ لَيْسَ كَكَذِبٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ فَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

Do not take down anything from me, and he who took down anything from me except the Qur'an, he should efface that and narrate from me, for there is no harm in it and he who attributed any falsehood to me-and Hammam said: I think he also said:" deliberately" -he should in fact find his abode in the Hell-Fire.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَكْتُبُوا عَنِّي وَمَنْ كَتَبَ عَنِّي غَيْرَ الْقُرْآنِ فَلْيَمْحُهُ وَحَدِّثُوا عَنِّي وَلاَ حَرَجَ وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ قَالَ هَمَّامٌ أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: relate traditions from the children of Isra'il; there is no harm.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلاَ حَرَجَ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever tells lies about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever tells lies about me', I (the narrator) think that he also said 'deliberately', let him take his place in Hell.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ حَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever tells lies about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

[AI] Abu Kabshah As-Saluli came forward while we were in the mosque, and Makhul, the son of Abu Zakariya, and Abu Bahriyyah stood up to him. Makhul said, "I heard Abdullah bin Amr saying, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Convey from me, even if it is a verse, and narrate from the Children of Israel, and there is no harm. And whoever deliberately lies against me should take his place in Hellfire.'''

أَقْبَلَ أَبُو كَبْشَةَ السَّلُولِيُّ وَنَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ مَكْحُولٌ وَابْنُ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا وَأَبُو بَحْرِيَّةَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً وَحَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا حَرَجَ وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ, they spoke about the Children of Israel without any objection.

He also said, "Narrate from the Children of Israel, and there is no harm in narrating from me, but do not fabricate against me." He added, "Whoever fabricates against me, let him prepare himself a seat in Hellfire."
