'Abdullah ibn 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Bad luck can be found in houses, women and horses."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي الدَّارِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ

Sahl ibn Sa'd said, "If there is bad luck in anything, it is in houses, women and horses."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي شَيْءٍ فَفِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالْمَسْكَنِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said "If there is any evil omen in anything, then it is in the woman, the horse and the house."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَىْءٍ فَفِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالْمَسْكَنِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Evil omen is in the women, the house and the horse.'

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالدَّارِ وَالْفَرَسِ

Evil omen was mentioned before the Prophet: The Prophet ﷺ said, "If there is evil omen in anything, it is in the house, the woman and the horse."

ذَكَرُوا الشُّؤْمَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي شَىْءٍ فَفِي الدَّارِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "there is neither 'Adwa nor Tiyara, and an evil omen is only in three: a horse, a woman and a house."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ إِنَّمَا الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلاَثٍ فِي الْفَرَسِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالدَّارِ

If there be bad luck, it is in the house, and the wife, and the horse.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي الدَّارِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ

If there is bad luck in anything, it is the horse, the abode and the woman.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي شَىْءٍ فَفِي الْفَرَسِ وَالْمَسْكَنِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ

If bad luck were to be in anything, it is found in the woman, the horse and the abode.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَ فَفِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالْمَسْكَنِ يَعْنِي الشُّؤْمَ

The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no hamah, no infection and no evil omen; if there is in anything an evil omen, it is a house, a horse, and a woman.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ هَامَةَ وَلاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَإِنْ تَكُنِ الطِّيَرَةُ فِي شَىْءٍ فَفِي الْفَرَسِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالدَّارِ

"An omen is in a dwelling, a woman or a horse." Abu Dawud said: This tradition was read out to al-Harith b. Miskin and I was witness. It was said to him that Ibn Qasim told him that Malik was asked about evil omen in a horse and in a house. He replied: There are many houses in which people lived and perished and again others lived therein and they also perished. This is its explanation so far as we know. Allah knows best. Abu Dawud said: 'Umar (ra) said: A mat in a house better than a woman who does not give birth to a child.

"Omens are only in three things: a woman, a horse or a house."

"Omens are in houses, women and horses."

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Do not believe in omens, and good fortune is only to be found in three things: A woman, a horse and a house."'

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ شُؤْمَ وَقَدْ يَكُونُ الْيُمْنُ فِي ثَلاَثَةٍ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالدَّارِ

Malik related to me from Abu Hazim ibn Dinar from Sahl ibn Sad as-Saidi that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it exists, it is in a horse, a woman, and a house," meaning ill luck.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ فَفِي الْفَرَسِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْمَسْكَنِ يَعْنِي الشُّؤْمَ

Malik related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Hamza and Salim the sons of Abdullah ibn Umar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ill luck is in a house, a woman and a horse."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي الدَّارِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا هَامَ فَإِنْ تَكُ الطِّيَرَةُ فِي شَيْءٍ فَفِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالدَّارِ»

أَنَّ النبي صلي اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلاَثٍ الدَّارِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "There is no calamity, and sometimes good fortune may be found in one's home and wife."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا شُؤْمَ وَقَدْ يَكُونُ الْيُمْنُ فِي الدَّارِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If there is anything (to cause disruption), it is found in three things: a woman, a house, and a horse."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْمَسْكَنِ وَالْفَرَسِ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنْ يَكُنِ الشُّؤْمُ فِي شَيْءٍ فَفِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالدَّارِ»

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he said, "Fortune is found in one's dwelling, a woman, and a horse."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الطِّيَرَةُ فِي الْمَسْكَنِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ»

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: 'If there is evil in anything, it is in women, horses, and houses.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنْ يَكُنِ الشُّؤْمُ فِي شَيْءٍ فَفِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالدَّارِ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Do not believe in omens, and good fortune is only to be found in three things: A woman, a horse and a house."' (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1993)

from their father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "An omen is in three: A woman, a dwelling, and a (riding) beast." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2824)

The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no hamah, no infection and no evil omen; if there is in anything an evil omen, it is a house, a horse, and a woman. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3921)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا هَامَ وَلَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَإِنْ يَكُنِ التَّطَيُّرُ فِي شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ فِي الْفَرَسِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالدَّارِ

إِنَّمَا الشؤْمُ في ثلاثةٍ: في الْفَرَسِ والمرأَةِ والدارِ".

"إِنْ كَانَ الشُّؤْمُ في شَىْءٍ فَفى الدَّارِ والمرْأة والفَرَس" .

"الطِّيَرةُ في المَسْكَن وَالمَرْأَةِ وَالفْرَسِ ".

"لاَ شُؤمَ فَإنْ يَكُ شُؤْمٌ فَفِى الْفَرَسِ، والْمَرأَةِ، والْمسْكَنِ".

"لاَ شُؤْمَ، وَقَدْ يَكُونُ اليُمْنُ في الدَّارِ، وَالْمَرأةِ، وَالْفَرَسِ".

"لا عَدْوَى، ولا طِيَرَةَ، وَإنْ كانَتْ فِي شَيء فَفِي المرأَةِ وَالدَّارِ وَالفَرَسِ".

"لا عَدْوَى وَلا طيَرَةَ، وَإنَّمَا الشُّؤْمُ في ثَلاث: فِي الفَرَسِ، والمَرْأَةِ، وَالدَّارِ".

"لا عَدْوَى، وَلا طِيَرَةَ، وَالشُّؤْمُ في ثَلاثٍ: في المَرأةِ، وَالدَّارِ وَالفَرَسِ".
