"He used to ride at a moderately fast pace, and when he came upon some open space he would gallop." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3023)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٤٠٠٥أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى هُوَ الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ

عَنْ مَسِيرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَقَالَ «كَانَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ فَجْوَةً نَصَّ وَالنَّصُّ فَوْقَ الْعَنَقِ»

Usama was asked in my presence, "How was the speed of (the camel of) Messenger of Allah ﷺ while departing from ʿArafat during the Hajjatul Wadaʿ?" Usama replied, "The Prophet ﷺ proceeded on with a modest pace, and when there was enough space he would (make his camel) go very fast."  

البخاري:١٦٦٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

سُئِلَ أُسَامَةُ وَأَنَا جَالِسٌ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَسِيرُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ حِينَ دَفَعَ قَالَ كَانَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ فَجْوَةً نَصَّ قَالَ هِشَامٌ وَالنَّصُّ فَوْقَ الْعَنَقِ  

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَجْوَةٌ مُتَّسَعٌ وَالْجَمِيعُ فَجَوَاتٌ وَفِجَاءٌ وَكَذَلِكَ رَكْوَةٌ وَرِكَاءٌ مَنَاصٌ لَيْسَ حِينَ فِرَارٍ

Usama bin Zaid was asked at what pace the Prophet ﷺ rode during Hajjat-ul-Wadaʿ "He rode at a medium pace, but when he came upon an open way he would go at full pace."

عَنْ مَسِيرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ قَالَ فَكَانَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ فَجْوَةً نَصَّ وَالنَّصُّ فَوْقَ الْعَنَقِ

In my presence, Usama was asked about the speed of the Prophet ﷺ during his Hajj. He replied, "It was Al-ʿAnaq (i.e. moderate easy speed) and if he encountered an open space, he used to increase his speed."

[Machine] About the journey of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Farewell Pilgrimage, and I was a witness, he said: "His way of walking was like that of a camel, and when he found a gap, he would pass through it and I would be following behind him."

[Machine] About the Prophet's ﷺ journey from Arafah, it is said that he would walk with a swaying neck. And whenever he found a gap, he would straighten himself up, meaning he would walk upright.
