6. Retiring to a Mosque
٦۔ كِتَابُ الِاعْتِكَافِ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever establishes the prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not to show off) then all his past sins will be forgiven." (Using translation from Bukhārī 35)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ يَقُمْ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا يَغْفِرُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
The Prophet ﷺ as saying: If anyone fasts during Ramadan because of faith and in order to seek his reward from Allah, his previous sins will be forgiven to him. If anyone prays in the night of the power (lailat al-qadr) because of faith and in order to seek his reward from Allah his previous sins will be forgiven for him. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted in a similar manner by Yahya b. Abi Kathir and Muhammad b. 'Amr from Abu Salamah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1372)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَامَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven." (Using translation from Bukhārī 37)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven." (Using translation from Bukhārī 38)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَامَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَمَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2008)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِرَمَضَانَ «مَنْ قَامَهُ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2008)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِرَمَضَانَ «مَنْ قَامَهُ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
"The Messenger of Allah used to encourage (us) to pray Qiyam during Ramadan, without insisting on that, and he said: 'Whoever spends the nights of Ramadan in prayer (Qiyam) out of faith and in the hope of reward, he will be forgiven his previous sins' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2198)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُرَغِّبُ فِي قِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ بِعَزِيمَةٍ قَالَ «مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to encourage people to observe Ramadan without explicitly commanding them to do so. He would say, "Whoever observes Ramadan with faith and seeking reward will have their past sins forgiven." Abu Abdul Rahman Ishaq ibn Rashid said, "He is not the strongest in narration among Al-Zuhri and Musa ibn A'yan, but he is trustworthy."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُرَغِّبُ النَّاسَ فِي قِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ بِعَزِيمَةِ أَمْرٍ فِيهِ فَيَقُولُ «مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ لَيْسَ بِذَاكَ الْقَوِيِّ فِي الزُّهْرِيِّ وَمُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ ثِقَةٌ
