6. Retiring to a Mosque
[Machine] It was narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that when he performed i'tikaf, he would not enter his house except for essential human needs.
[Machine] If I come to the house and there is a sick person in it, I do not ask for anything except while I am standing, and if the Prophet ﷺ entered upon me, I would get up and he would only come to the house if a person needed to perform ablution and was in retreat.
[Machine] About the sick person, she walks and does not stop.
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seclude himself (in worship), and he would not enter the house except for a necessity that cannot be avoided. I washed his head, and there was a small distance between me and the threshold of the house." Abu Abdur Rahman Sufyan bin Husayn said, "There is no harm in that, except according to Az-Zuhri, and he is not strong in his opinion. His equivalent in opinion according to Az-Zuhri is Sulaiman bin Kathir and Ja'far bin Burqan, and there is no harm in their opinions except according to Az-Zuhri."
When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed I'tikaf, he would put his head near me, and I would comb it. and he entered the house only to fulfill human needs (i.e. to urinate or to relieve himself). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2467)

(the wife of the Prophet) Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to let his head in (the house) while he was in the mosque and I would comb and oil his hair. When in Iʿtikaf he used not to enter the house except for a need. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2029)
