[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I had intended to appoint a man to lead the people in prayer, then set fire to the houses of those who do not attend the Friday prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ أَنْظُرَ فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ بُيُوتَهُمْ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الْجُمُعَةَ

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ said, "Those who neglect the Friday prayer, I had intended to order my young men to gather firewood, then command a man to lead the people and burn the houses of those who do not attend the Friday prayer."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ فِتْيَانِي فَيَحْزِمُوا حَطَبًا ثُمَّ آمُرَ رَجُلًايَؤُمُّ بِالنَّاسِ فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ بُيُوتَهُمْ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الْجُمُعَةَ

I intend that I should command a person to lead people in prayer, and then burn those persons who absent themselves from Jumu'a prayer in their houses. (Using translation from Muslim 652)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ «لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ أُحَرِّقَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ بُيُوتَهُمْ» وَهَكَذَا رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ «وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ هَكَذَا إِنَّمَا خَرَّجَا بِذِكْرِ الْعَتَمَةِ وَسَائِرِ الصَّلَوَاتِ» على شرطهما

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I had intended to command a man to lead the people in prayer, and then go to a group of people who neglect it and set fire to them," meaning the two prayers, Isha (night prayer) and Fajr (dawn prayer)."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ آتِيَ أَقْوَامًا يَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْهَا فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ» يَعْنِي الصَّلَاتَيْنِ الْعِشَاءَ وَالْغَدَاةَ

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ أَتَخَلَّفُ فَأُحَرِّقُ عَلَى قَوْمٍ بُيُوتَهُمْ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ معمرٌ وزُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ

"لَقَدْ همَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ صَارخًا يَصْرُخُ بِالصَّلاةِ، ثُمَّ أَتَخَلَّفُ عَلَى رِجالٍ يَتخَلَّفُونَ عن الصَّلاةِ فأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيهم بُيُوتَهم".

"لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ، ثُمَّ أُحَرِّقَ عَلَى رِجَالِ يَتَخلَّفُونَ عَن الْجُمُعَةِ بُيُوتَهَم".
