Messenger of Allah, he is the person who seeks permission to enter your house, whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I think he is so and so (uncle of Hafsa by reason of fosterage). 'A'isha said: Messenger of Allah, if so and so (her uncle by reason of fosterage) were alive, could he enter my house? Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Yes. Fosterage makes unlawful what consanguinity makes unlawful.

Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "I think the man is Hafsa's foster uncle." ʿAisha said, "If so-and-so were living (i.e. her foster uncle) would he be allowed to visit me?" Allah's Apostle said, "Yes, he would, as the foster relations are treated like blood relations (in marital affairs).

ʿAisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ told her that once Messenger of Allah ﷺ was with her and she heard somebody asking permission to enter Hafsa's house. She said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! This man is asking permission to enter your house." Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "I think he is so-and-so (meaning the foster uncle of Hafsa). What is rendered illegal because of blood relations, is also rendered illegal because of the corresponding foster-relations."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr from Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that A'isha, umm al-muminin informed her that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was with her and she heard the voice of a man asking permission to enter the room of Hafsa. A'isha said that she had said, "Messenger of Allah! There is a man asking permission to enter your house!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I think it is so-and-so" (referring to a paternal uncle of Hafsa by suckling). A'isha said, "Messenger of Allah! If so-and-so were alive (referring to her paternal uncle by suckling) could he enter where I am?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Yes. Suckling makes haram as birth makes haram."

Aisha said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, a man seeking permission to enter your house." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I think it is so-and-so, who is brother in nursing to Hafsa." Aisha said, "O Messenger of Allah, if he were alive, would he have entered upon me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Yes, for breastfeeding prohibits what birth prohibits."

[Machine] She had with her and that she heard the voice of a man seeking permission in the house of Hafsah, so Aisha said, "O Messenger of Allah, there is a man seeking permission in your house." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do I see him as a foster brother of Hafsah from breastfeeding?" So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, if he is a foster brother of hers from breastfeeding, can he enter upon me while she is alive?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Yes, breastfeeding prohibits what childbirth prohibits." This is the wording of the Hadith reported by Ash-Shafi'i.  

البيهقي:١٥٦٠٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَا نا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ أنا مَالِكٌ ح وَأنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الصِّبْغِيُّ نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زِيَادٍ السَّرِيُّ نا ابْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ نا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ نا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ

ﷺ كَانَ عِنْدَهَا وَأَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ صَوْتَ رَجُلٍ يَسْتَأْذِنُ فِي بَيْتِ حَفْصَةَ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ؓ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذَا رَجُلٌ يَسْتَأْذِنُ فِي بَيْتِكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُرَاهُ فُلَانًا لِعَمِّ حَفْصَةَ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَوْ كَانَ فُلَانًا حَيًّا لِعَمِّهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيَّ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَعَمْ إِنَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا تُحَرِّمُ الْوِلَادَةُ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الشَّافِعِيِّ
