Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam that Ibn Wala al-Misri asked Abdullah ibn Abbas about what is squeezed from the grapes. Ibn Abbas replied, "A man gave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a small water-skin of wine. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'Don't you know that Allah has made it haram?' He said, 'No.' Then a man at his side whispered to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked what he had whispered, and the man replied, 'I told him to sell it.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The One who made drinking it haram has made selling it haram.' The man then opened the water- skins and poured out what was in them ."  

مالك:٤٢-١٧ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنِ ابْنِ وَعْلَةَ الْمِصْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَمَّا يُعْصَرُ مِنَ الْعِنَبِ

فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَهْدَى رَجُلٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَاوِيَةَ خَمْرٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَهَا قَالَ لاَ فَسَارَّهُ رَجُلٌ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ ﷺ بِمَ سَارَرْتَهُ فَقَالَ أَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يَبِيعَهَا فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الَّذِي حَرَّمَ شُرْبَهَا حَرَّمَ بَيْعَهَا فَفَتَحَ الرَّجُلُ الْمَزَادَتَيْنِ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ مَا فِيهِمَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him what he had whispered. He said: I advised him to sell that, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Verily He Who has forbidden its drinking has forbidden its sale also. He (the narrator) said: He opened the waterskin until what was contained in it was spilt.

"A man gave the Messenger of Allah a skin full of wine, and the Prophet said to him;' did you know that Allah has forbidden it?' He whispered something and I did not understand what he whispered as I wanted to. I asked a person who was beside him and the Prophet said to him; 'What are you whispering about?' He said: 'I told him to sell it.' The Prophet said: 'The One Who forbade drinking it also forbade selling it.' Then he opened the vessels and poured out their contents.

[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from Dos carrying a pitcher of wine, and he gave it as a gift to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Did you not know that Allah has prohibited it after you?" So, the owner of the pitcher went to a man who was with him and commanded him. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What did you command him to do?" He replied, "To sell it." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Did you not know that the one who prohibited its consumption has also prohibited its sale, and eating its price? Then, he ordered for the pitcher to be spilled out.  

أحمد:٢١٩٠ – حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَعْلَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ لَنَا بِهَا الْكُرُومُ وَإِنَّ أَكْثَرَ غَلاتِهَا الْخَمْرُ؟ فَقَالَ

قَدِمَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ دَوْسٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِرَاوِيَةِ خَمْرٍ أَهْدَاهَا لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَلْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَهَا بَعْدَكَ؟ فَأَقْبَلَ صَاحِبُ الرَّاوِيَةِ عَلَى إِنْسَانٍ مَعَهُ فَأَمَرَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمَاذَا أَمَرْتَهُ؟ قَالَ بِبَيْعِهَا قَالَ هَلْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الَّذِي حَرَّمَ شُرْبَهَا حَرَّمَ بَيْعَهَا وَأَكْلَ ثَمَنِهَا؟ قَالَ فَأَمَرَ بِالْمَزَادَةِ فَأُهْرِيقَتْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , had a friend from Thaqif or Daws, and he met him in Mecca during the year of the conquest. The man offered him a cup of wine, and the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "O Abu Fulan, don't you know that Allah has forbidden it?" The man then turned to his servant and told him to go and sell it. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , asked the man, "O Abu Fulan, what did you command him?" He replied, "I commanded him to sell it." The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Indeed, the one who prohibited its consumption also prohibited its sale." So he commanded that it be poured out on the ground.  

أحمد:٢٠٤١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَعْلَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْخَمْرِ فَقَالَ

كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَدِيقٌ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ أَوْ مِنْ دَوْسٍ فَلَقِيَهُ بِمَكَّةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ بِرَاوِيَةِ خَمْرٍ يُهْدِيهَا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا أَبَا فُلانٍ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَهَا؟ فَأَقْبَلَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى غُلامِهِ فَقَالَ اذْهَبْ فَبِعْهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا أَبَافُلانٍ بِمَاذَا أَمَرْتَهُ؟ قَالَ أَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يَبِيعَهَا قَالَ إِنَّ الَّذِي حَرَّمَ شُرْبَهَا حَرَّمَ بَيْعَهَا فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُفْرِغَتْ فِي الْبَطْحَاءِ

bayhaqi:11042 – Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ And ʾAbū Zakariyyā b. Abū Isḥāq al-Faqīh Waʾabū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥasan Waʾabū ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Sulamī > Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. [Machine] Ibn Abbas: A man gave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a container of wine as a gift. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Did you not know that Allah has forbidden it?" The man replied, "No." Then, the man left and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What do you think he did with it?" Someone said, "I commanded him to sell it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who has forbidden its consumption has also forbidden its sale." Then, the two containers were opened, and what was inside them was poured out, amounting to 11043. Abu Abdullah Al-Hafith, Abu Zakariya, and Abu Abdur Rahman reported to us, saying: Abu Al-Abbas informed us that Muhammad informed him that Ibn Wahb informed him that Suleiman ibn Bilal informed him from Yahya ibn Sa'id from Abdul Rahman ibn 'Ula from Ibn Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a similar narration.  

البيهقي:١١٠٤٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَأَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ وَغَيْرُهُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَعْلَةَ السَّبَائِيِّ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَمَّا يُعْصَرُ مِنَ الْعِنَبِ فَقَالَ
