“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came walking to visit me (when I was sick), as did Abu Bakr, when I was with Banu Salimah.

ابن ماجة:١٤٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ عَادَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَاشِيًا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَنَا فِي بَنِي سَلِمَةَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke in a distinct and leisurely manner.

أبو داود:٤٨٣٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شَيْخًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ كَانَ فِي كَلاَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَرْتِيلٌ أَوْ تَرْسِيلٌ

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَمْنَعُ أَحَدًا يَسْأَلُهُ شَيْئًا مِنْ هَذِهِ الْفَانِيَةِ الزَّائِلَةِ

ibnhibban:6376 – al-Faḍl b. al-Ḥubāb > Abū al-Walīd al-Ṭayālisī > Sufyān Bimakkah And ʿAbbādān > Ibn al-Munkadir > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying, "The Prophet ﷺ was never asked something but he refused."

ابن حبّان:٦٣٧٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بِمَكَّةَ وَعَبَّادَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ «مَا سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ شَيْئًا قَطُّ فَأَبَى»
