[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ stood up and said, "Beware of the Fire." Then he turned around and repeated, "Beware of the Fire." He kept turning and repeating it until we could see that he was actually seeing it. Then he said, "Beware of the Fire, even if it is by giving half a date as charity. If you cannot find that, then by speaking a kind word."  

ابن حبّان:٦٦٦أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ

قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فقَالَ «اتَّقُوا النَّارَ» ثُمَّ أَعْرَضَ وَأَشَاحَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «اتَّقُوا النَّارَ» ثُمَّ أَعْرَضَ وَأَشَاحَ حَتَّى رُئِينَا أَنَّهُ يَرَاهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا فَبِكَلِمَةٍ طَيْبَةٍ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Protect yourself from the Fire." He then turned his face aside (as if he were looking at it) and said again, "Protect yourself from the Fire," and then turned his face aside (as if he were looking at it), and he said so for the third time till we thought he was looking at it. He then said, "Protect yourselves from the Fire, even if with one half of a date and he who hasn't got even this, (should do so) by (saying) a good, pleasant word.'

Guard (yourselves) against Fire. He turned his face and diverted his attention till we thought as if he were (actually seeing it and then said: Protect yourselves against Fire even if it is with half a date, and he who does not find it, (he should do so) with pleasant words. Abu Kuraib did not mention the word: (as if).

ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ النَّارَ فَأَعْرَضَ وَأَشَاحَ ثُمَّ قَالَ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ ثُمَّ أَعْرَضَ وَأَشَاحَ حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ كَأَنَّمَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَبِكَلِمَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ كَأَنَّمَا وَقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ

He repeated this two or three times, saying, "Beware of the Fire, even if it is with half a date (in charity). And if you cannot find it, then with a kind word."
