ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْمَرْءَ إِذَا تَهَجَّدَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَخَلَا بِالطَّاعَاتِ يَجِبُ أَنْ تَكُونَ حَالَةُ الْخَوْفِ عَلَيْهِ غَالِبَةً لِئَلَّا يُعْجَبَ بِهَا، وَإِنْ كَانَ فَاضِلًا فِي نَفْسِهِ تَقِيًّا فِي دِينِهِ

ibnhibban:665 – Abū Yaʿlá > Ḥawtharah b. Ashras al-ʿAdawī > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Thābit al-Bunānī > Muṭarrif b. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Shikhhīr from his father

[Machine] "I entered the mosque and found the Prophet ﷺ standing and praying. There was a buzzing sound coming from his chest, like the sound of a boiling pot."  

ابن حبّان:٦٦٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا حَوْثَرَةُ بْنُ أَشْرَسَ الْعَدَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

«دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي وَبِصَدْرِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الْمِرْجَلِ»

"I came to the Prophet ﷺ when he was praying, and there was a sound coming from his chest like the sound of water boiling," meaning, he was weeping. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1214)
