[Machine] About Abu Talha, then indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered on the day of Badr twenty-four men from the ranks of the Quraish to be thrown into a pit in the valleys of Badr. And whenever he would appear before a people, he preferred to camp with them for three nights. So, on the third day, he commanded his camel to be saddled and he rode it and his companions followed him. They said, "We do not see him departing except for some of his needs." Until he reached the edge of the sand dune, then he called them by their names and their fathers' names, saying, "O so-and-so son of so-and-so, are you pleased that you have obeyed Allah and His Messenger? Verily, we have found what our Lord has promised us to be true. Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true?" Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah, are you speaking to bodies without souls?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, you do not hear what I say more than they do." Qatada said, "Allah has given them life until He made them hear rebuke, belittlement, punishment, regret, and remorse."

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , ordered twenty-five men from the people of Quraysh to be thrown into a ditch made of killed camels in the valley of Badr. He used to stay at the battleground for three nights whenever he showed up before a tribe. So, when he showed up before the people of Badr, he stayed for three nights until the third day when he commanded his camel to be brought and it was tightened with its saddle. Then he set off, and his companions followed him. They said, "We do not see him setting off unless he has some personal need to fulfill." He said, "Until he reached the edge of the ditch." Then he started calling them by their names and the names of their fathers, saying, "O so-and-so, son of so-and-so, did Allah and His Messenger fulfill the promise of your Lord truthfully?" `Umar said, "O Prophet of Allah, are you speaking to bodies that have no souls in them?" He said, "By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, you cannot hear my words any better than they can, but they are prevented from replying." Qatadah said that Allah brought them to life to hear his words of rebuke and censure.

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered thirty-three men from the Quraysh to be thrown into a pit in the valley of Badr, where the wind blew fiercely. Whenever he appeared before a group, he would stop at the middle of the valley three times. On the third day, he ordered his camel to be prepared and tightened her saddle. Then he walked and his companions followed him. They said, "We do not see him leaving unless he has some need." Then he came to the edge of the well and said, "O so and so, son of so and so, and O so and so, son of so and so, did you wish that you had obeyed Allah and His Messenger? Have you found what your Lord promised to be true? We have found what our Lord promised to be true." Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, are you speaking to bodies without souls?" He replied, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, they can hear what I say, even if you cannot." Sa'id said, "By Allah, Allah revived them until they heard his statement."
