ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ إِبَاحَةَ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ الْمَسْحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ كَانَ ذَلِكَ قَبْلَ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا بِغَسْلِ الرَّجُلَيْنِ فِي سُورَةِ الْمَائِدَةِ
"Jarir bin 'Abdullah urinated, then he performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks. Someone asked him: 'Do you do this?' He said: 'Why shouldn't I? I saw the Messenger of Allah doing this.'" Ibrahim (who narrated it from Hammam) said: "They were pleased by the Hadith of Jarir because he accepted Islam after the revelation of Ma'idah." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 543)
«وَمَا يَمْنَعُنِي وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ؟ » قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ «فَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُمْ حَدِيثُ جَرِيرٍ لِأَنَّ إِسْلَامَهُ كَانَ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَائِدَةِ»
