[Machine] "He saw a man throwing stones and said, 'Do not throw stones, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited it or disliked it. He said, 'It does not kill a game animal nor inflict injury upon an enemy, but it can break teeth and damage an eye.' After that, he saw him throwing stones again and said, 'Shall I inform you about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and you continue to throw? I will not speak to you like this and that.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "How will you be, O Abdullah, when you remain in the midst of people's refuse?" He asked, "What are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He ﷺ said, "That is when they violate their trusts, break their agreements and become like this" - and he intertwined his fingers. He asked, "So what about me, O Messenger of Allah?" He ﷺ said, "You should do what you know, leave what you dislike, and live separate from the common people."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Abdullah ibn Amr, how will you be when you remain among the lowest of people?" He said, "And who are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Those are the ones who break their trusts, betray their covenants, and become like this." And he intertwined his fingers. He said, "So how do you see it, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "You must do what you know, forbid what you condemn, and prioritize yourself while leaving the common people."
We went to Anas bin Malik and complained about the wrong we were suffering at the hand of Al- Hajjaj. Anas bin Malik said, "Be patient till you meet your Lord, for no time will come upon you but the time following it will be worse than it. I heard that from the Prophet." (Using translation from Bukhārī 7068)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If there was only one night remaining in this world, Allah would send a man from the family of the Prophet ﷺ to rule over it."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: A Muslim's best property will soon be sheep which he will take to the tops of the mountains and the places where the rain falls, fleeing with his religion from the civil strife (fitan). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4267)
[Machine] An Arab man said, "O Messenger of Allah, does Islam have any limit?" He replied, "Yes, whoever Allah intends good for, He guides them to Islam, whether they are Arabs or non-Arabs." The man asked, "What then, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Then there will be trials like layers of darkness." The man said, "No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, and by the One in whose hand is my soul, you will return to that state, holding onto the reigns of ignorance, striking each other's necks. The best people on that day will be a believer who isolates himself in a mountain pass, fearing Allah and leaving people to their harm."
“Worship during the time of bloodshed is like emigrating to me.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3985)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: A Muslim's best property will soon be sheep which he will take to the tops of the mountains and the places where the rain falls, fleeing with his religion from the civil strife (fitan). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4267)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will be trials like the winds of summer, in which the one who sits is better than the one who stands, and the one who stands is better than the one who walks. Whoever seeks to find shelter from them will be sheltered."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked Abu Dharr, "What would you do if people were hungry to the point where you couldn't get up from your bed to go to your mosque?" I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Fast." Then he asked, "What would you do if people died to the point where your house was surrounded by corpses?" I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Be patient." Then he asked, "What would you do if people fought until the oil stone sank?" I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Join those you are safe with." I asked, "What if they come to me?" He said, "Enter your house." I asked, "What if they come to me?" He said, "If you fear being dazzled by the sword's gleam, then throw your garment over your face, which will both protect you and him from sin." I asked, "Shouldn't I carry a weapon?" He replied, "Then you will share in the sin."
I entered the mosque when 'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-'As was sitting in the shade of the Ka'ba and the people had gathered around him. I betook myself to them and sat near him. (Now) Abdullah said: I accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey. We halted at a place. Some of us began to set right their tents, others began to compete with one another in shooting, and others began to graze their beasts, when an announcer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced that the people should gather together for prayer, so we gathered around the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: It was the duty of every Prophet that has gone before me to guide his followers to what he knew was good for them and warn them against what he knew was bad for them; but this Umma of yours has its days of peace and (security) in the beginning of its career, and in the last phase of its existence it will be afflicted with trials and with things disagreeable to you. (In this phase of the Umma), there will be tremendous trials one after the other, each making the previous one dwindle into insignificance. When they would be afflicted with a trial, the believer would say: This is going to bring about my destruction. When at (the trial) is over, they would be afflicted with another trial, and the believer would say: This surely is going to be my end. Whoever wishes to be delivered from the fire and enter the garden should die with faith in Allah and the Last Day and should treat the people as he wishes to be treated by them. He who swears allegiance to a Caliph should give him the piedge of his hand and the sincerity of his heart (i. e. submit to him both outwardly as well as inwardly). He should obey him to the best of his capacity. It another man comes forward (as a claimant to Caliphate), disputing his authority, they (the Muslims) should behead the latter. The narrator says: I came close to him ('Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-'As) and said to him: Can you say on oath that you heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He pointed with his hands to his ears and his heart and said: My ears heard it and my mind retained it. I said to him: This cousin of yours, Mu'awiya, orders us to unjustly consume our wealth among ourselves and to kill one another, while Allah says:" O ye who believe, do not consume your wealth among yourselves unjustly, unless it be trade based on mutual agreement, and do not kill yourselves. Verily, God is Merciful to you" (iv. 29). The narrator says that (hearing this) Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-As kept quiet for a while and then said: Obey him in so far as he is obedient to God; and diqobey him in matters involving disobedience to God. (Using translation from Muslim 1844a)

“Before the Hour comes, there will be tribulation like pieces of black night, when a man will wake up as a believer but be a disbeliever by evening, or he will be a believer in the evening but will be a disbeliever by morning. And the one who is sitting will be better than the one who is standing, and the one who is standing will be better than the one who is walking, and the one who is walking will be better than the one who is running. So break your bows, cut their strings and strike your swords against rocks, and if anyone enters upon anyone of you, let him be like the better of the two sons of Adam. (i.e. the one killed, not the killer).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3961)

[Machine] "We came to Al-Yashkuri in the town of Bani Layth, and he asked us, 'From which people are you?' We said, 'We are the sons of Layth.' So he asked us, and the people asked him, 'We have come to you to ask you about the narration of Hudhayfah.' He said, 'We accompanied Abu Musa on a journey from some of his expeditions. The animals were exhausted in Al-Kufah, so I sought permission for myself and my companion, and we were granted permission. So we arrived in Al-Kufah early in the morning, and I said to my companion, 'I will enter the mosque, and when the market opens, I will come out to you.' I entered the mosque and found a group of people sitting in a circle, as if their heads had been cut off, listening to the speech of a man. So I approached them, and a man came towards me, and I asked, 'Who is this?' He said, 'Are you Basri?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'I knew that if you were from Kufa, you wouldn't ask about this. This is Hudhayfah bin Al-Yaman.' So I got closer to him and listened to him saying, 'People used to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about good, while I used to ask him about evil. And I knew that good would not be ahead of me. So I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, is there anything after this good that is evil?' He said, 'There will be tribulations and evil.' I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, is there anything after this evil that is good?' He said, 'There will be a truce during which people will acquire wealth.' I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is a truce on a burning coal?' He said, 'It will cause people's hearts to return to their previous state.' I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, is there anything after this good that is evil?' He said, 'O Hudhayfah, learn the Book of Allah and follow what is in it.' I repeated the same question three times, and he gave the same response each time. Then I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, is there anything after this good that is evil?' He said, 'There will be a blind, deaf fitnah (tribulation) with callers at the gates of Hellfire. If I die, O Hudhayfah, and you are holding onto the root of a dry stick, it is better for you than following any of them."

They pass through religion like an arrow passes through its target, and then they do not return to it until the arrow returns on top of it? They are the worst of creation and creatures, and I swear by the One in whose hand is my soul, if you commanded me to sit, I would not stand, and if you commanded me to stand, I would not be able to, even if you tied me to a camel, I would not release myself until you release me. Then he sought permission from him to come to the monastery, and he granted him permission. So he came to it and found a slave leading them, and they said, "Abu Dharr." So the slave retreated, and he was told, "Go forward." So he said, "My beloved ﷺ advised me with three things: to listen and obey, even if an Abyssinian slave, whose limbs were mutilated, becomes the leader; and when you cook a stew, increase Its water, then give some to your neighbors with good conduct, and pray at the appointed time, for if you come to the Imam and he has prayed, you have fulfilled your prayer, and if not, it is a voluntary prayer for you."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There will be a period of commotion in which the one who lies down will be better than the one who sits, and the one who sits is better than the one who stands, and the one who stands is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks is better than the one who runs (to it). He asked: What do you command me to do, Messenger of Allah? He replied: He who has camels should remain with his camels, he who has sheep should remain with his sheep, and he who has land should remain with his land. He asked: If anyone has more of these, (what should he do)? He replied: He should take his sword, strike its edge on a stone, and then escape if he can. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4256)

We were one day in the company of 'Umar that he said: Who amongst you has preserved in his mind most perfectly the hadith of Messenger of Allah ﷺ in regard to the turmoil as he told about it? I said: It is I. Thereupon he said: You are bold (enough to make this claim). And he further said: How? I said: I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: There would (first) be turmoil for a person in regard to his family, his property, his own self, his children, his neighbours (and the sins committed in their connection) would be expiated by fasting, prayer, charity, enjoining good and prohibiting evil. Thereupon 'Umar said: I do not mean (that turmoil on a small scale) but that one which would emerge like the mounting waves of the ocean. I said: Commander of the Faithful, you have nothing to do with it, for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No, it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes, he knew it (for certain) just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq (one of the narrators) said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: (By that door, he meant) 'Umar.
