ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ أَنْ يُعِينَ الْمَرْءُ أَحَدًا عَلَى مَا لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ فِيهِ رِضًا

ibnhibban:5942 – Muḥammad b. Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm a freed slave of Thaqīf > Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm al-Ḥanẓalī > al-Muʾammal > Sufyān > Simāk > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd from his father

[Machine] The translation of the Arabic sentence is: On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: "The example of someone who helps his people in a way that is not true is like a camel that falls into a well and is taken out by its own hump."  

ابن حبّان:٥٩٤٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعِينُ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْحَقِّ كَمَثَلِ بَعِيرٍ تَرَدَّى فِي بِئْرٍ فَهُوَ يُنْزَعُ مِنْهَا بِذَنَبِهِ»

If anyone helps his people in an unrighteous cause, he is like a camel which falls into a well and is pulled out by its tail.

مَنْ نَصَرَ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْحَقِّ فَهُوَ كَالْبَعِيرِ الَّذِي رُدِّيَ فَهُوَ يُنْزَعُ بِذَنَبِهِ  

ahmad:3726 – Muḥammad > Shuʿbah > Simāk > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. ʿAbdullāh from his father

[Machine] The branch and I consider that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has elevated him. He said, "The example of one who supports his tribe with falsehood is like a camel tied to a well, it keeps going down with its tail."  

أحمد:٣٧٢٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

شُعْبَةُ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَدْ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعِينُ عَشِيرَتَهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْحَقِّ مَثَلُ الْبَعِيرِ رُدِّيَ فِي بِئْرٍ فَهُوَ يَمُدُّ بِذَنَبِهِ
