[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a thief who had stolen a necklace. They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, this man has stolen.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'What made you steal?' The thief said, 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Take him and cut off his hand, then settle the matter and bring him to me.' The hand was cut off, then he was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said, 'Repent to Allah.' The thief said, 'I repent to Allah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Allah has accepted your repentance.'"

الحاكم:٨١٥٠ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِسَارِقٍ قَدْ سَرَقَ شَمْلَةً فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذَا سَرَقَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا إِخَالُهُ سَرَقَ» فَقَالَ السَّارِقُ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَاقْطَعُوهُ ثُمَّ احْسِمُوهُ ثُمَّ ايْتُونِي بِهِ» فَقُطِعَ ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ فَقَالَ «تُبْ إِلَى اللَّهِ» فَقَالَ تُبْتُ إِلَى اللَّهِ فَقَالَ «تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ»

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

[Machine] A man was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, this man has stolen several camels or livestock." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What made him do it?" Then they said, "O Messenger of Allah, this man has stolen." He said, "What made him do it?" until he testified against himself. He then said, "Take him and cut off his hand, then bring him to me." So they cut off his hand and brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Woe to you, repent to Allah." He said, "I repent to Allah." He said, "O Allah, accept his repentance."

الطبراني:٦٦٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَتُّوَيْهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ جُعَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَخْبَرَنِي السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ

أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ هَذَا سَرَقَ جُلَّ بَعِيرٍ أَوْ جُلَّ دَابَّةٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا إِخَالُهُ فَعَلَ» ثُمَّ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ هَذَا سَرَقَ قَالَ «مَا إِخَالُهُ فَعَلَ» حَتَّى شَهِدَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ شَهَادَاتٍ فَقَالَ «اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَاقْطَعُوهُ ثُمَّ ائْتُونِي بِهِ» فَقَطَعُوهُ ثُمَّ جَاءُوا بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «وَيْحَكَ تُبْ إِلَى اللهِ» قَالَ تَبْتُ إِلَى اللهِ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ تُبْ عَلَيْهِ»

He said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah, I have indeed stolen." He said, "Take him and cut off his hand, then discipline him, and then bring him to me." So they took him and cut off his hand, disciplined him, and then brought him to the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Repent to Allah." He said, "I have repented to Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "May Allah accept your repentance."

البيهقي:١٧٢٧٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ثنا الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

البزّار:٧٦٢٠ – حَدَّثنا أحمد بن أَبَان القرشي قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد العزيز بن مُحَمد الدَّرَاوَرْدِيّ عن يزيد بن خُصَيفة عن مُحَمد بن عَبد الرحمن بن ثوبان ولاَ أعلمه إلاَّ عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ أُتِيَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم

بسارق فقالوا سرق قال ما أخاله سرق قال بلى قد فعلت يا رَسولَ اللهِ قال اذهبوا به فاقطعوه ثُمَّ احسموه ثُمَّ ائتوني به فذهب به فقطع ثُمَّ حسم ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِهِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فقال تب إلى الله قال تبت إلى الله قال تاب الله عليك أو قال اللهم تب عَلَيْهِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ يُرْوَى عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ
