TABARANI 4969:
from Abū Kathīr b. Yaḥyá —
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from the Farewell Hajj and stayed at Ghadir Khumm, he ordered for a pulpit to be set up. So I stood up and he said, "It is as if I have been called and I have responded. I am leaving behind two weighty things among you, one being greater than the other - the Book of Allah and my progeny, my Ahl al-Bayt. So look how you will treat them after me. Verily, they will never separate until they meet me at the Pond." Then he said, "Verily, Allah is my Mawla (Master) and I am the Mawla (Master) of every believer." Then he took the hand of Ali and said, "Whoever I am his Mawla, Ali is also his Mawla. O Allah, be a supporter to whoever supports him and be an enemy to whoever opposes him." So I said to Zaid, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He said, "No one was present at that gathering except that he saw it with his own eyes and heard it with his own ears."
